Trump confirms plans to declare national emergency to implement mass deportation program

Watch it unfold...

Let me see if I have this correctly, you're just hoping trump doesn't follow through on his plan. So you're hoping trump fails in his attempt to implement his plan, and fail in a way that he successfully deports criminals but is unsuccessful in deporting good people. That's quite the interesting take. My guess is, he's going to deport the good people because they're accessible and easy targets, but fail to deport the criminals because they're too hard to find.

Trump says he has 20 million people to deport. What happens if other countries don't want them? Do we start paying them to take them?

No way. Trump's going to keep all the tax dollars he doesn't spend overseas, and doesn't keep for himself home for the rest of us to share. Probably equally.

It has already been covered, but Trump probably will do some symbolic deportations, keep the vast majority of the rest, and then lie to everyone claiming he deported millions.

And his supporters will unironically say how much better it is have 20 million people gone when they're actually still here.

This person gets it. Unfortunately dem leadership is too stupid to do it.

The issue is its a dangerous gamble. You will have allowed him and is staff, to destroy a lot of the departments if you allow the nominations. You also set up for a decade or more of really tough times. I am fully of the opinion a 1930's depression, or 1970's or 1980's rapidly rising inflation due to poor policy and more concerns on the debt is fully on the table. You also have that he could try to go the full dictator route. So do you let them burn due to his stupidity (along with us), or do we try to limit the damage he can do? I really can't tell you what the right answer is, but the next 2 years are not going to be fun, I know that much.

Facts are inconvenient sometimes Tom.
Kind of like Powell stating part of the cause of inflation was Trumps immigration policies?

Just out of curiosity.

Are readers aware that North America consists of three countries? Not one, not two, but three.

Geographically, Mexico is considered part of North America.

Guatemala through Panama is Central America.

The rest is South America. Does anyone even understand history and geography? Oh that’s right. We don’t need to because we live in the USA.

How many people are aware of the history of South America, even the tiniest bit.

More people have asked me if I spoke Spanish because I lived in Brazil. I would respond with, “no I speak Portuguese “. I had to explain that half of South America speaks Portuguese.

There’s a lot more. A discussion for another day.

Dump told the Repubs not to vote in the bipartisan immigration bill to help him get elected and here we are. Some people have very short memories....

Source: https://www.axios.com/2024/01/29/trump-republicans-border-deal-senate-immigration

Republican and Democratic senators are taking to the airwaves, scrambling to pass severe restrictions on migrants flooding across the U.S.-Mexico border. There's just one thing: Their plan is all but dead.

Why it matters: The Senate might pass the plan, which would be one of the harshest immigration bills of the century. President Biden is ready to sign it. But House Republicans — egged on by former President Trump — already are planning to shut it down.

State of play:
Illegal immigration has rocketed to the top of voters' concerns, and Biden has become increasingly desperate for a solution. Trump and conservative Republicans see a political opportunity to squeeze Biden and Democrats on the issue.

  • Trump, whose front-runner status in the Republican presidential race has solidified his leadership of the GOP, has loudly vowed to kill the bipartisan border deal.
  • "It's not going to happen, and I'll fight it all the way," Trump said Saturday in Nevada.

Central America isn't a continent. It's a subregion of North America.

You mean the Ukraine funding bill?
You mean the bill that codified Biden's catch and release?

Please become better informed before posting talking points.

The thing that really gets to me concerning this possible path forward, is how so many of you seem to think any sort of due diligence will be applied.

We all have seen how incompetent the leader is, are now seeing how horrendous the people around him will be. So I have a question.

In these “militarily organized raids” where we may or may not care about the naturalized application of an individual, say we have one illegal Carlos Ordonez that is a violent criminal, will we be applying due diligence and process to ensure the other 13 legal Carlos Ordonezs don’t get their life and family ripped apart?

I’m not confident.

So then we pull these people and place them where? A US prison tonight? Going to process them all in a day? In space we don’t have? Haven’t built yet? Oh. So just erroneously erected cages. What if father is Colombian and mother is Hungerian? Where do we send the family? Do we even try to keep a familial unit together?

Do you care?

Nah. You don’t. Let the lords of chaos rule.

My hope is that the logistics of this will cause Drump to simply give up and lie that he did the work instead.

But the money that gets allocated for this will still disappear.

They all look the same, bro.

What's the difference? 🙄

Absolutely right. On that note. Since I’m a middle aged white guy.

Hey y’all. There is 4 year cruise being offered now to joyride my way on a cruise through the next few years.

If enough of you respond, I’ll set up a go fund me. I’m not greedy, I can handle a single bed for the next 4 years at $40k/year. But if I get the necessary funds I’ll upgrade.

What’s more capitalistic than that.

1. I didn’t accuse you of being a bigot and don’t think you are.

2. I am for deportations too.

3. Believing that trying to deport millions of people is impractical and stupid has nothing to do with sensitivity.

4. Trump is a felon. And deservedly so. Those crimes are just the tip of the iceberg of white-collar crimes that morally bankrupt, narcissistic mother ****er is guilty of. Oh, and he’s also a sexual predator. Don’t be glib and stupid. You voted for Trump because of his “policies,” or at least concepts of them. Don’t backtrack and try to defend his character—the man has none.

He is a felon and a rapist. No, I will never stop telling the truth about that. If you don’t like it, I don’t care.
Appreciate it.

I agree on #4 in one way. People have different opinions and that's fine.

I don't look to my President for moral guidance. I just want him to make good decisions. I look to my friends, family, priest for that.

This, in a nutshell, explains a lot.

I wish you had told me from the beginning you had been brainwashed by the Catholic Church. It would have spared me wasted key strokes, and helped to explain why you are okay with pedophilia and sexual malfeasance.

I need to stop giving people the benefit of the doubt. You are indeed a piece of shit and a complete waste of space.

Buh bye. 👋

Sex with a 17 to that claims they are 18 is not pedophilia.

I am not ok with abuse of children period and don't appreciate the implication. Priest or otherwise.

If the Trump admin ends up hurting the country I'll be honest about it and call it as I see it.
