Trump Speaks to National Assoc. of Black Journalists

she has an indian mother and a black father

so she's indian and she's black

why is this so hard for some people to grasp?

how on earth does anyone think they're making a good point by bringing this up?
Because when Trump was asked the question he answered it HONESTLY. She entered the picture as an Indian presumably so she could claim to be the first Indian Senator since you know we've had plenty of black people do it already.

Where did a I "defend" him? I'm interested in what you consider a "defense" of Trump. A actual post of mine would be nice.

Right in this thread your only purpose is to defend him. You give him credit for showing up and chastise Harris for not being there. All you have done in this thread is defend him and criticize her.

You missed the part about us having a shit ton of "liquid gold" didn't you?

The plan is to use the liquid gold.

We're back to praise the genius! Use the liquid gold! The best plan! The president will dictate lower energy costs by using the liquid gold! Totally not a thing a socialist would do!

Maybe I was off with the battered woman angle, enamored child might be a better fit.

Not a Trumpster and she's obviously avoiding interviews and press conferences....it's an effective strategy for her.
And when she does do an interview, BoTh SiDeS bInS will be enlightening us about something else Harris didn't do or failed to say, and we'll get another dose of his trusty "It Is WhAt It Is" quip. You fancy yourself as an independent thinker who is nuanced, but most see through the act. You're a conservative, always have been, you'll be voting for Trump (again) despite claiming you never have, and you'll tell yourself its because the Democrats left you with no choice.

The interview Trump gave yesterday was truly a disaster. It was embarrassing to see a major political party candidate and former POTUS say those things, to that audience, no less. But your gripes in the thread about that disaster is with ... someone who wasn't present. You know — because you just "tell it like it is," and say "it is what it is," and you're *totally* an Independent voter.

Don't have a lot to add after catching up on this thread except to say both sides bins is just as predictable as trump at this point. Anyone who actually thought trump was going to go to this thing and do anything beyond what he did hasn't been paying attention. And anyone expecting bins to do anything other than his both sides game and grasp at straws to deflect also hasn't been paying attention.

Bins is a master troll. He gets dozens of smart people hooked for pages with his act that hasn’t changed. 2005 Trad could never troll as effectively as Bins does.

Good guy but you have to regularly remind yourself that he’s doing an act.

What we have here is another example.of you being provided with a direct answer. Literally went Q and A, then you manipulating a response, which you oddly enough admitted manipulating, and then when I provided further context of the plan you oroboros to your first false narrative.

So, this is it? To get people to stop talking about Project 2025 they are just going with a full on racist campaign?

This is more evidence that the GOP is planning some serious f**Kery with this election. I'm convinced that they are planning on going with the not certifying election results from certain states or counties so no candidate gets enough electoral votes and getting the election thrown into the House. To get that to work, they need the elections to be close in those states so this is an effort to motivate every single racist in those states to show up to vote to reduce the margin as much as possible.

That is the only reason why I can think they would do something like this. Kamala needs to keep the focus on the Project 2025 plan.

I really cannot tell if you're just trolling for action or you are legitimately confused by how you're characterized on this board. But when you're in a Trump thread, about a specific event that Trump took part in, with video of Trump's performance, and discussion of said event, and your posts are about Kamala Harris rather than the subject of the thread, people interpret that as defense of Trump.

To help illustrate it: Let's pretend people are throwing balls at Trump, and you're standing in front of Trump with a shield. You're using your shield to deflect the balls away from Trump and towards Kamala Harris.

Some reasonable people are going to interpret that action as a defense of Trump. Assuming you're genuine, you seem to think you're merely tossing balls at Kamala, and are oblivious to your shield.

I said his performance was bad and he was rightly chastised for it..in this thread.

I think our presidential candidates should be subjected to these type of question and answer sessions, press conferences and interviews.

Harris hasn't done any of that yet and I pointed it out. Sorry...not sorry :)

You serious?

The nominee that just replaced Biden at the top of the ticket hasn't had an interview or press conference in almost 2 weeks. You don't find that a little....weird?

How often do you think these things happen?

I'm being 100% honest, I do not recall in my life POTUS candidates doing much more than maybe two television interviews and a couple debates, and that is throughout the entire full length process. The rest is usually stump speeches at campaign events. I agree I'd be neat to see a little more honest questioning, but I think even that has been killed by technology, Trump and the publics short attention span.

Well, she's only been the defacto nominee for a week and a half now so you'll need to give her some time. I'm not sure she will though, at least not in that setting. She doesn't need to do high risk scenarios and cause a turnover. She just needs to keep dictating the conversation.

I.m really starting to think this became an attempt to change the conversation by Trump and it was probably successful. As it turns out, being racist and getting everyone calling him racist is far better for his campaign than talking about policy is. Nobody is talking about policy today.

Note: This interview was scheduled for a while so I have no idea what the reasoning behind it was when they scheduled it. Maybe they thought they could chip away at the black votes for Biden when they scheduled it but when Kamala became the candidate they decided to go with a different approach?

The democratic brain is a pretzel.

What you describe as a direct answer and champion as a plan to reduce inflation is child like:

Q: What are you going to do to win the game?
A: Score more points than the other team!

Whiskey: Genius! Direct answer!

Q: How are you going to win the war?
A: By defeating our enemies!

Whiskey: Direct answer!!!!1

Q: How are you going to make health care more affordable?
A: By lowering the costs!

Whiskey: What a plan!

That sort of understanding is something children grow out of, until they become devoted MAGAs apparently.

At the word "like" I thought you were still interested in having a serious conversation. You are having to create false narratives to emphasize you point man, give it up.

She's the presumptive nominee after Joe dropped out. Neither has done a press conference about it....or an interview. Seems strange for such a momentous event.

I seem to remember a lot more interviews by candidates but maybe I'm off on that :)

Politically...the course her and her campaign are taking is very effective. Won't argue that....

Obviously :)

I expect her off the cuff remarks to be kept to a minimum in this campaign. That's always been her weakness and it's a smart campaign strategy if they can get away with it.

Let Trump go out there and say stupid shit like he did yesterday.

We'll see...

You poor child, do you really think you have serious conversations on here? You're a gimmick on the board that is routinely - punched down on - yet you seem to be blissfully unaware.

At least you can sleep easy knowing inflation will be under control via liquid gold.

First Black Senator

Seems like you and Trump are picking and choosing. She's both black and Indian. First for either to win. But, went to black college, was in a black sorority and I seem to recall a lot of Rs bitching she was only chosen as VP cuz she was a black woman. Convenient that's being forgotten now.

You will make through this bud, you might have to toughen up a bit, but you will be ok.
