Confirmed they are both bumping up a class 133,149. I had Vito the #2 at 125 with or without Suriano. Yanni brother will be 125 most likely, I still think NS is not nearly as good down at 125. I was hoping they all went 125 so when Spencer wins again there would be no question who the top guy pound for pound is.

Confirmed by whom? Coach Grey a week ago, when I asked him about Vito and Yianni at 133/149, said
TBA on Yianni and Vito. Need to see more results so Vegas will be a real indicator for Yianni. Vito will not be wrestling in Vegas.
That's my source. Your source?

Coach Grey also indicated that he hoped Hunter Richard is back from injury for National Duals, and his best weight would be 149. Saunders looks like he's not going to be starting at 141, so the question is whether Handlovic/Yianni is better for the team than Yianni/Richard.

So you are saying your info is old, ok got it

dude come on. if you have a source share it. if you just saw that they competed at those weights last week and assumed that was permanent, take the L because Grey has been clear that no decision has been made yet.
It has been said online that it is confirmed by a source close to the program. I also heard it from someone in Syosset area. Is it 100% maybe not, but it’s fairly close.

Time will tell.
‘What I said about SL starting against Princeton was not backed by anything but me just being confident that Spencer is good to go. If you remember correctly you weed for brains ,I also said the Hawks ( Lee , Kem ) should go as they and the coaches see fit. Which is exactly what is happening! Your world the clock is always 4:20 otherwise you could not tell time.

Well, I'm convinced.

Coach Grey -> me.
"Program" -> "close source" -> "online" -> Grip220.
Let’s do this , if Vito goes 125 I will donate a pair of shoes to wrestling for life , if Yanni goes 141 I will donate another pair to WFL and if Greg D does not start at 125 I will donate a 3rd pair to WFL.
I ask that all of you that have made comments match this if those 3 are 125,133 and 149 as I stated.

PS: I thought Spencer was a go, as well. (You could have led or concluded with that.) But far be it from me to run your disses, MRS…

All good we are on the same team for the most part, and you should know I don’t go back and call guys out for what they may have believed. Unless you are in fact one of the coaches of these team or the actual wrestle we don’t really know Squat.

Let's not. I just wanted to know what was your source that seemed to contradict the words of Cornell Coach Mike Grey. Neither you nor I know with any certainty, much less "confirmed" where these guys will end up.

Wayment...you called him out by dropping Grey's name. He is willing to bet you $$$ to Wrestling for Life which is a great charity and such bets are a grand tradition here in the cesspool. I don't know who is right but it seems like a worthy bet that only one of you is willing to take.

Everything I said is correct: Coach Grey responded to this very question that I posed to him. I made no predictions in this thread on which to base a bet. The OP claimed "confirmed," when that is *not* the case, given his weak-assed source. He may very well turn out to be correct in the final weight classes wrestled.

I have confirmed I don't give a shit what Cornell does.

Just say you don't want to help kids in need ;) Much quicker. BTW, you are shredding him for his "sources" but you (anonymous guy on the internet) expect us to believe you spoke to Grey. Now you very well could be telling us the 100% truth but do you see the contradiction here? Now, I don't know you but I do know for a fact that Grip lives in NY but have no clue if his sources are legit. BTW, Grey not knowing which weight his best studs are going a couple of weeks into the season strikes me as him being cagey and likely feeding you coachspeak because I'm guessing you're not the first person who has asked. If you are Kyle Dake, oops on my part and happy 16th birthday.

The Kyle Dake aging in reverse joke was well played! Kudos

I will stand by my side of the bet, I will also add maybe I should not of used the term “confirmed” even though when I asked these insiders (not coaches nor the actual wrestlers) they were very certain their team will go this way.
The reasons I made this post is as always, I’m thinking how it benefits the Hawks , Which I believe it does.
I also know a guy who’s son is a Jr on the team and I coached a few kids (when they were in grade school) who wrestled at Cornell, So I do follow and have much respect for their program.

grip dropping bombs. BOOM!

the problem with the bet is that he's not saying they'll be dropping. grip's position is that it will be 133/149. his position is that it isn't decided yet, which means it could end up being 133/149 and he could still be right. you can't really bet on that outcome.

ITS FOR WFL, and he called me out claiming I had no info. Again I stand by my position and will donate if I was wrong! I also stated I should not have used the term “confirmed” I should have said probable, but I could care less what these trolls think because that’s what they are. You guys know me and where my loyalty lies and dies.
I will also add I hardly ever start threads and 99% just add my thoughts and insights!

No inside info, but you might think that Cornell's best line up would have them bumping up. Also if Vito wants to win it, and you are being honest with yourself? His best shot is to go to 133 unless you think Lee is not anywhere close to 100%. No one is touching Lee in my opinion and that is with two torn ACLs.

Now 133 seems to be getting more and more loaded. Talk about a meat grinder if this happens along with everyone else already at this weight. I do believe this helps Jayden because we know he can beat everyone else at 141, Yanni, who he might beat also, i believe would be the toughest out.

he questioned whether the decision has been officially made, not what weight they were going. unless mike grey comes out today and announces it, you can't really know who is right for the purposes of a bet. that's my point.

I think that's less clear than it was before. Them bumping allows them to get two big name freshmen in the lineup (Gred D and Saunders). That appears to be a good thing at first glance. However, neither of those two have actually been very good and Saunders doesn't even look like he'll win the spot at 141 even if Yianni stays up. I don't think it's clear at all which lineup is better at this point.

I will be the first to admit I was wrong when and if Vito goes 125, you have to love these Guys who have their blogs and hate the Hawks because we Win and do it our way. I love to be hated by these trolls!

The question is not only "what is best for Vito?" The question is more "what is best for the team at EIWAs and NCAAs?" Yianni is on record saying that he'd go either 141 or 149, depending on which is best for the team. If Greg D/Vito is better *for the team* at EIWAs and NCAAs than is Vito/Lajoie, then I'm pretty sure that Vito will go 125 (Lee or no Lee). I'm also guessing that since Vito is not going to CKLV, that Coach Grey will send Greg D at 125 and Lajoie at 133, and their relative performances there will inform where Vito goes. Nearly half the EIWA will be in Las Vegas, so there could be some good matches to help with the decision-making. Same for Handlovic at 141: if he does very well, we'll see Yianni at 149. If he doesn't do well, we may see Yianni at 141 and Richard at 149. The Cornell community believe Yianni can win either 141 or 149, with Nick Lee the biggest challenge at either weight.

Just some ramblings from a Cornell fan. We'll know quite a bit more when the National Duals lineups are announced.

(edit)

CKLV team just announced: Greg D at 125, Dom Lajoie at 133, Handlovic at 141 and Yianni at 149. A relatively easy prediction to make.

Who here hates Iowa wrestling? Not me. I also don't see much trolling here. Much more on the PSU forum. Many here seem to have a chip on their shoulder. I'm here to talk about wrestling, especially as it affects Cornell (and their presence at NCAAs this year *definitely* affects Iowa!)
