Dresser's nuts must be black and blue.
The only thing from the IA Wrestle story I might take issue with is "beating out Iowa and ISU". Once Iowa received the Franklin commit, I think the handwriting was on the wall as far as going to IC for Voelker. But i can certainly understand the attempt to pump up UNI for the story.

ISU has the Cuban for 4 years, Iowa has Glazier and Franklin. That said, I think Voelker could have competed in both scenarios…I like his athleticism and he has guts but UNI filled a need today.
I certainly question the wisdom of bringing in the Cuban. His Ohio State counterpart is not setting the world on fire. If they lose Iowa recruits because of it, that’s no good.
The 197lb at ISU certainly had issues with conditioning last year and getting out from bottom. I assume they're working on that and it's proven to be a problem for the international guys.
Since Dresser has arrived, it just been one problem after another in Ames.
From recruiting to injuries to weight mgmt to filling weights to development to transfers to getting guys to the RTC to struggling to make top ten and on and on.
But he's paid well! Better than most guys that haven't sniffed a trophy at Nattys.
Sorry to derail, this thread is about Voelker.
I thought Voelker was a perfect fit for Iowa. The way he wrestles from neutral resembles the hawkeyes. But with the current verbal from an outstanding 197 it does not surprise he became a panther.
Got to be hard passing on training with Foster, Lujan, and Keckeisen as well.
And a really easy drive from Manchester for friends and family.
I like him more than Franklin tbh. I’m assuming he got a lot more at uni then Franklin did to come to iowa tho.
