Wait - THESE - are the “Tasty Tacos” you DSM folk rave about!!??

Yeah, no good food from anywhere along the Mississippi River. 🙄

Probably no decent music from those parts either.
I like a good banjo solo as much as the next guy.

Only way to eat a tasty taco is to put sauce on before you eat then every bite add another splash of their taco sauce. No one can beat that sauce
I love hot stuff (not so hot you are miserable, but spicier than most) and it does have some heat. My family likes it but thinks it is too spicy.

7.6 on the fast foot taco rating scale. The shell was good, but a little too puffy. Meat was perfectly seasoned and had good flavor, they also give a good portion of it. The sauce was good at first and had good flavor, but mouth is on fire now so that took it down a notch.

Overall experience was good and would definitely recommend.
Next time you are in town I suggest B-Bop’s for a great fast food burger.

Never had BBops either. I'm in Ankeny a lot and just always forget to try it. Wife is from there and her sister and parents still live there. Wifes family all likes Tasty Tacos, but her cousins from Houston had it when they were back this summer and said it was disgusting. They still make jokes about it.

Ever been to the Urbandale Cancun? I have a friend who swears it is the best Mexican in DSM but I have not tried it.
I have not, but will guess it's better than Tasty Tacos. In my opinion, the best places around DSM are a few blocks East of the capital, there are three or four spots. Good Salvadoran too. And of course Tacos Mariana's is at the top.

Not tense, shook!

Been hearing about the greatness of “Tasty Tacos” for years and then see a pic of them and they look like what a depressed Minnesotan single mom with an opioid disorder would feed to her crotch droppings on the week the food stamp money ran out.

The dude who started Tasty Tacos was from Mexico, came to the US in the 1950s IIRC. Richard Mosqueda.

My kids old nanny (you don’t want a pic tbw hired her) was an authentic born in Mexico Mexican and she likes tasty tacos. So that makes it official.
Rookie move letting the wife hire the nanny. They never hire 20 year old nymphomaniacs from South Korea.

I’m from the Quad Cities
1. Rudy’s is average at best. I don’t get people love of that place
2. Tasty Taco is pretty good not great

Give me La Flama’s pork belly tacos any day of the week.

I'm going to open some kind of takeout restaurant in iowa that's meant to troll the tastebuds of iowans. Why not start your morning with a pan fried slice of taco pizza with a shit ton of ranch and/or sour cream on it? I'll advertise it as an Italian-Mexican fusion slice.

I'm not going to knock the taste of how that taco looks, for all I know each of its parts tastes well......there's just a lot of everything and you shouldn't have to hide the taste of any of it with a dough like that. Or, the salsa comes out of a 5 gallon jar, you need the sour cream for some reason, you prefer cheese that doesn't belong on a taco, a microwave was involved at some point, etc.

You really left some of the proverbial meat on the bone by not getting an order of Poppers.
