I know the oline is terrible but there is zero chance of winning a game doing this with the Iowa running game.

KF doesn’t believe in vertical passes, are you new here? WRs are designed to block for 2-3 yard runs inside the tackles.
How do you attempt a pass over 15 yards when your receivers don’t have time to run 5 yards before the QB gets sacked or throws it to a TE 3 yards down field?!

Friend who coaches HS says it’s football 101 take a shot play least once a half. Keep the D honest. No reason Iowa can’t just throw a go route up the sideline when CB is playing back as so many teams do making it tough for safeties to get over to help.
We don’t have any burners. Our WR group is terribly weak and slow just like every other guy on that side.

Too risky, better throw short interceptions
My favorite, was the first play of the game, have the worst QB in CFB do what he does the worst, roll left and throw on the run.
finally something I believe in is said--there is noo reason we do not try a couple of bombs a game--and if time is the issue have the QB throw it higher--what a novel concept---other teams are able to throw deep and not have to have 8 seconds ot do it...
