WBB Recruiting 2017 and On

Lindsey Meder was a dental school major. Disterhoft finance, Kathryn Reynolds law school major and is now back on Iowa's staff. I remember there was a computer science major, or maybe that just Ollinger in computer engineering? I have to say though, if the kid is smart, and likes what she/he chose to study (evidently anybody that chooses those majors must at least like it a little bit, pressed by parents or not), it's really not that hard as an undergraduate. It's when one goes to the Ph.D level that it becomes hard.

Here is another poster throwing around a title that only applies to this message board by calling me a "Rookie". You know Dougie, when you log off the board/site the title "All Stater" goes with it. It's not a social status title there buddy. God forbid you ever reach "Legend" status, your head won't fit thru the message board entrance..........Rookie out

You seem to be strung a little tight there hawkbuck, er rookie .
I've been on this site since 2002 but most of the time I am much too busy to post. I have averaged about 1 post per week on this site. I'm not concerned with titles assigned by an internet web site.
However, if you wish to get into a pissing match with me bring it on.
I don't know what you think you will gain. self esteem ? respect ?
Otherwise, I'd suggest you put me on ignore as that's what I've just done with you. It looks to me you just want to pick fights with people and probably have been banned before and are back under a new name.

You've been on the site since 2002....impressive!! Dougie says "if you wish to get into a pissing match with me bring it on"........."but I just put you on ignore".
Which is it?? Pissing match or crickets?? It's been a slow day in the office and I broke my own rule of ignoring the ignorant..........I don't need self esteem or respect from you.....just entertainment, which you have provided. As Stu said in Hangover, "Doug is in the trunk, Doug is in the trunk"....back to the trunk Doug. You entertained me for one afternoon. May your reign, All-Stater, be long and prosperous!!!

Nonposter is not Mr. Joens! I know who he is and trust me it is not a member of the Joens family. He has a big hang up about the program because he feels his little friend Whitney was treated unfairly. Also Amanda was not asked or told to change her major. The coaches knew coming in what her major was, they would never detour a player this way!

Are you referring to Nonposter or Nonposters?

non posters

You got it right on all the insults, etc. The sad thing is he goes to all the games and spreads all these rumors to those sitting around him. Never stands and cheers the team on or claps for them. Thankfully most have caught on to his ways.

Non posters is a reason to use ignore button. I have done that and therefore have no ideas what some of u are griping about. Enjoying the silence and skimming over those posts. Suggest more of you do the same

A person can put trolls on ignore, but I prefer not to. You can either ignore them and let them continue to make fools of themselves, or call them out for their ignorance from time to time. At some point I imagine an email or two to the moderators will take care of it. This is not the old smack forum.

Kate Martin had 22 points, including 6 threes, as Edwardsville ran their record to 22-0.
Megan Meyer scored 27 points in a little over a half in a win for Mason City.
Shateah Wetering had games of 19 points on 9-10 shooting and 18 points on 9-13 (plus 10rebounds) as the 6-1 soph and Montezuma ran their record to 17-3.
Tomi Taiwo's Carmel team started playoffs with a win.
Monika Czinano had 31 points in a win.
Logan Cook is averaging 13.6 ppg for West High.
Gabbie Marshall is averaging 16.3 ppg for MND. But she injured an ankle and has missed the last six games. They lost the game she got inured in, and to a team they had beaten by 15 earlier in the year. They are 17-3 on the year. Not sure when she will return.

Tomi Taiwo had 26 points today as Carmel won the Sectional title.
She hit 6 3ptrs and 4-4 FT.

The HUDL video shows a little of Goodman in action. A righty.
From the video she has good size already, quick with her moves, finishes through contact, rebounds & outlets the ball. Nice prospect with a few years to improve yet & also at a position of need for the Hawks.

I remember Chase Coley's younger sister being mentioned when Chase signed, as being better than Chase. Maybe it was Chase that said that. Does anyone have any info on her or what grade she is in?

Chase's sister Kendall is a 2021 graduate & is a 6'1 G/F averaging 7 points & 5 boards per game for a 13-8 St. Louis Park team. They did beat Monika Czinano & the W-M team earlier this year. Not much out there on her yet as a prospect, she does play for North Tartan AAU per their website.

She is a 2021. She did well at an AAU tournament a while back (2 years?) and had Stanford talking to her. Not sure where that is now.

Kate Martin had 15 points in a 83-13 win. The #12 nationally ranked Edwardsville team is 25-0. Kate finished her HS career undefeated at home 90-0. This year was their 3rd undefeated season in the last 4.

Tomi Taiwo with a beautiful step-back three. Look at the separation she creates. Nothing but net.

Megan Meyer had 26 tonight in a win over Urbandale. She became the all time single season leader in points scored for Mason city.
Monika Czinano is at 23.3 ppg for 14-4 Watertown-Mayer.
Logan Cook had 23 in a win over Waterloo West tonight.

Well, Tomi's HS career is over. Carmel lost by 5 to #10 Zionsville, a team they beat twice (by over 20) in the regular season. Carmel missed a ton of inside shots (27% for the game). Dilk kind of panicked after they got down by 13 and tried to do it all herself. She ended 9-24 from the field. Tomi got 5 points after foul trouble. she got a steal and almost hit a 3ptr to tie at the end, but the shot rolled off the rim.
I guess that officially makes her a Hawkeye now.

Reading your first sentence oak, I'm relieved her season is over, I missed the HS. I was thinking the worst.

It might depend on how ready Monika Czinano is to back up the post. If she can, then Hannah could start, with Amanda getting minutes there.
The Hawks have Logan Cook at 6-1 coming in but she is just learning the 3/4 positions. Kate Martin is a 6-0 G, and Tomi Taiwo is a SG.
If Monika isn't ready, it could be Amanda with Hannah playing some 4 and 5.
And how Paula does. She has shown an ability to rebound and score in limited minutes.

Kate Martin and Edwardsville advance, barely. 27-0

Shateah Wetering had 15 (7-10) and 9 in a win.
Monika Czinano had 33 and 16.
Megan Meyer and Logan Cook both play Saturday. Iowa girls are all in playoff mode.
Gabbie Marshall's Mount Notre Dame team ranked #7 in the final poll. Start playoffs Saturday. She missed last 6 games with an ankle injury.
Tomi Taiwo's Carmel team is finished.

Caitlin is averaging 27ppg for 18-3 DM Dowling.
Against a triangle-and-two defense, Beal saw her advantage early in Friday's championship game at the Class 4A Pekin Regional and used it all night en route to 27 points, 16 rebounds, two blocks and two assists in a 60-35 Rocks win over Normal West at Hawkins Gym. The rocks are 23-7.
Speaking of recruits Iowa is looking at, Sharon Goodman, soph from Crestwood, had 27 points (10-14 from the field) and 9 rebounds in a Regional win.

How are Caitlin Clark and Brea Beal's teams doing? Iowa is recruiting them, right?

Gabbie Marshall's MND team won, but she is still out.
Iowa city west also won, but i haven't seen the stats for Logan Cook. (Logan had 10 and 6).

Oak, are any of the incoming recruits good enough to make the rotation next year, and is Tania Davis expected to be ready to play next year? Thanks in advance.

Tania should be back. She is a quick healer, and the knee was not the same one. she is already without crutches. Just has the brace.
For next year....
Kate Martin is a guard with size that can play defense. I think she could see some spot duty at the 2 and 3.
Tomi Taiwo kind of reminds me of Theairra Taylor. A quick athletic guard. But i think Tomi is better from range. She could be an "instant offense " player next year.
Monika Czinano is having a very good senior year. If she is ready she could get minutes as a back-up allowing Hannah to be more of a 4.
Logan Cook is transitioning from her HS back to the basket game to more of a wing. so she will probably need more time.
