This is Iowa’s class of 2023

F McKenna Warnock
W Kate Martin (red-shirt)
G Megan Meyer

Iowa now has 13 players on scholarship for next year and could still add two more to the class. There are two remaining players left on my list.

My current attempt to keep track of the recruits and current players. I am a visual learner.

Gabbie Marshall shot 53.2% from 3pt last season. On 111 attempts, 59 made.. Perimeter help is on the way.
Megan Meyer shot 37% on 192 attempts. 71 made.

In next year's incoming freshman class, who has the better point guard skills...Gabbie Marshall or Megan Meyer?
Realy hard to say. Gabbie had a better team around her. Megan was counted on to score a lot.
Competition was tougher in the Cincinnati area. Megan and Gabbie both had lots of steals.
Gabbie missed a half dozen games after an ankle sprain, so her attempts were down.
Guess we will see when they arrive next year.

AJ Ediger, 6’2” W/G ‘21 from Hamilton, MI, had an unofficial visit this weekend. It appears she really enjoyed it, and she is definitely a player we want to be in the mix for. I believe she attended Iowa’s WBB camp this past summer. I’m happy she had a great unofficial, and looking forward to more visits from AJ! She also plays VB for the Hamilton Hawkeyes. Perhaps a good sign.

The title was from the original poster of the film. I guess they wanted to get the attention of the viewers.
There isn't a HS equivalent for Steph Curry, boy or girl, but Gabbie did shoot 53% from three last year as a JR.

I think this video is Stuelke playing the tournament lib is talking about.

Iam disappointed Iowa didn't let fans know what happened to Carly Mohns. Bre Cera is starting for Milwaukee, and Tegyn Larson is starting for South Dakota.

Mount Notre Dame is ranked No. 1 in the OGBR preseason Division I state rankings. The Cougars (22-5) were a Division I regional semifinalist last season after winning the 2017 state title.

The Cougars return plenty of talented players, including senior guard Gabbie Marshall (Iowa) and senior forward Julia Hoefling (Loyola University Chicago).

In addition, MND returns All-Girls Greater Catholic League first team selection and sophomore guard Laila Phelia. MND's 5-foot-11-inch guard K.K. Bransford -- one of the top freshmen in the nation -- is expected to also make an impact, along with junior guard Makira Cook (Miami University commit).

MND is tied with Pickerington and South Euclid Regina for the most state girls basketball titles in Ohio High School Athletic Association history. MND is the only active program among the three schools.

"Mount Notre Dame will start five Division I (college-level) players," McKey said. "They are just loaded with talent."

Correct. Gabbie plays for MND. Katherine was a state champ there also. Tough league with great basketball.
