Since the Whitney Jennings scandal that was covered up by the University Iowa has not been able to get any top recruits. With this being Bluder's last year of her contract I believe she will be retiring at the end of this year.
Some recruit (verbals) updates.
Megan Meyer, 5-9 PG, is averaging 24.7 ppg (shooting 47.8% from 3pt) for her 5-1 Mason City team. Also 79% from the Ft line. She had scored 36 points in 3 quarters in her last game before injuring her ankle.
Gabbie Marshal, 5-9 PG, is averaging 10.2 ppg for her Mount Notre Dame team. They are 4-1, with the only loss to #3 nationally Africentric by 5 points.
Mckenna Warnock, 6-1 W, is averaging 30.9 ppg and 12.7 reb for her 6-1 Monona Grove team. Shooting 57% from the field and 71% from the line. She had a 39 point, 29rebound game in their 80-78 win over Milwaukee Academy

Shateah Wetering, 6-1 W, is averaging 18.3 ppg and shooting 55.8% for her 7-1 Montezuma team. Shooting 43% from 3pt.
Those are the 2020s.
I know her father was a WBB coach at Iona & they also lived in the Midwest (ILL or WI) not long ago.Raoul's site had a link to this player in Florida with an Iowa offer.

Unusual for Iowa to venture out of the Midwest, and offer a player that young. I wonder what connection there is.
Sounds like she might be the center we need for next year.
In the above pic she sure resembles Flo!
Monona Grove's McKenna Warnock, front, and Monroe's Sydney Mathiason, behind, compete for possession during the first half of Monroe's 60-59
- Monona Grove senior McKenna Warnock surpassed the 2,000 points mark for her girls basketball career.
Warnock scored 44 points in a victory over McFarland on Friday, giving her 2,009 career points, Monona Grove girls basketball coach Tyler Kuehl said.
Warnock moved into 20th place on the state’s all-time scoring list for girls basketball, Kuehl said.Warnock passed Racine Park’s LaTonya Sims (2,005 points). In Warnock's sights are Jessica Kelliher of Waukesha North (19th with 2,012) and Jennah (Burkholder) Hartwig of Janesville Parker (18th with 2,033). Hartwig now is the Parker girls basketball coach.
Warnock is averaging 31.7 points per game, which is second in the state.
The 6-foot-2 Warnock, a University of Iowa commit, became the school’s all-time leading scorer and rebounder for girls and boys basketball last season.
If she doesn’t play center, we’re in trouble. Coaches obviously don’t have a lot of confidence in Monika at this point. Lisa probably won’t mind a 5 that can shoot 3s.I don't think she will be playing center. She seems more of a 3 to me. Excellent outside shooter.
If she had dark hair, she’s at Bluebird right now with all the coaches.Saw a certain very tall girl at the game with some family, speaking an Eastern European language. Not sure if she is visiting just Iowa, or all her finalists.
When they stood to leave, Jan’s head was barely at the recruit’s shoulder.Yes, dark hair. And solid build for her height.
That’s her. What do you know about her, oak?Jelena has a way of towering...
Plays for the Serbia national team, averaged 11.7 ppg and 11.3 rpg at the recent European Championships. She was given the sportsmanship award at that event.Possible late add for 2019? Jelena Mitrovic, 6-9 from Serbia. Likely to be the tallest player in the competition and certainly a nightmare defensive assignment for any of her opponents, Mitrovic is an intriguing prospect and built in the 'old school basketball' mould. In the modern age, that doesn't mean she is a throwback or somehow lesser of a player than anyone else. The Serbian center offers a real traditional puzzle for those who have to stop her and guard her. Keeping her off the boards and from cleaning up put-back scores is a challenge and she has a nice touch and runs the floor well for her huge size. She could be dominant and knows at least one of the courts in Udine from when she shone two years ago, playing there at U16.
Iowa is one of 4 finalists, along with Arizona State, Oregon State, and Rutgers.
