20 years and that is what he came up with for a halftime speech?

That was a brick.

I watched Mount score 63 points against Iowa in the old Fieldhouse, but Iowa won the game. Ralph Miller always said he didn't care how many points Mount got as long as Iowa got one more than Purdue. And that's what happened. Those who never saw Mount play cannot appreciate what a shooter he was, but I don't know a thing about him as a human being. But Iowa does seem to play well when he's in the house. :)

Hopefully he was just drunk and that wasn't him at his best.

Pure Gold. Bottle it and save it for next Rose Bowl.

I still say they should have had him just go out there and shoot some free throws tonight. Would have been a lot less awkward.

A guy like that...best to sit him on a stool to wave and watch him smile...no mike...

Wonder why he was away for so long? Was it his choice? Not wanted? Weird?

Very odd, it seemed...

If I was an Iowa student...I would have a Rick Mount made from wax...and sit him in a seat at the student section forever...in a waving pose of course. Hey...there is our "Good Luck Mount"...

I agree. Weird halftime speech. No idea what he was trying to say?

He seems like a bit of a TOOL!

Nice win by our Hawks!

A tool, yes perhaps.........however, he was probably the best outside shooter in
Big10 history. I was only about 5 years old, but I recall watching him play against
Johnny Johnson and Downtown Freddy Brown. Of course, the Hawkeyes won.
