Just lost to Bielema and Arkansas to open 0-2 in the SEC and 2-3 overall.

Remember after last year's bowl game all of the bravado the UT fan base was carrying on with? They had a few posters come in tell us what was what about how the game of football is played... keep our chins up... yada yada yada. They told us they were on their way to SEC titles and a possible playoff spot.

Well some of us tried to warn them that this bowl game victory was fools gold given the mindset of our program at that point. We did not want to be there after imploding. Well they might get it now while we are 5-0.

They beat us and made us look bad, but their was a really bad vibe about the Hawks last year especially during the bowl game. It was an in-different and ill prepared team that faced Tennessee in the bowl game. Personally last years team was talented than this years, but this team has some moxie and toughness to it. How things can change from one year to another is perplexing.

Iowa's mentality helped make it so laughable, but I don't think it was unreasonable to see Tennessee as a program on the rise and Iowa a rotted-out shell of one. I don't get why this board wants to jump over Tennessee every loss this season.

Don't mind seeing this tailspin in the least - Especially in the first half of the season. Have met a few very arrogant Vol fans over the years.

For the 8th consecutive year, Tennessee is starting conference play 0-2.
When you hear that stat, you would think, maybe Kansas or Wake Forest, but Tennessee?!

They still think getting rid of Phil Fulmer in 2008 was a good decision.
Not sure how they can still say this 7 years later.

2016 is where this Tennessee team should peak.
Look at Iowa's 2001 season with all of the heartbreaking close losses.
Purdue by 9, at MSU by 3, Michigan by 6, at Connie by 6, at Ames by 3.
Then, look at 2002.

They might thrash us still today but keep in mind they just lost to the team that lost to Toledo at home, that also lost 3 straight coming in and who's coach was 0-10 at Arkansas in close games decided by 7 or less.

I don't think TN would "thrash us". We were ebbing more than we were flowing at that time last year. Iowa is a much different team now.

Agree completely. There's no objective basis to claim that TN would thrash Iowa, much less beat them, this year. 2015 and 2014 are apples and oranges. I think this year's Iowa team would have a great shot at knocking off TN.
