What's Iowa's record with Stoops as HC?

What is it with the coaching candidate must have an Iowa comnnection?
If and when we go looking for a new coach, I want the best one we can get. Bob Commings was a former player and that did not work out so well. Jerry Burns had an Iowa connect and did not do well. Basketball had Sharm Scheuerman and Dick Schultz, who struggled. All good people but not successful coaches.
On the other side how about Coach Heller, who led us to regionals of the college World Series and Big Ten Championship? He played at Upper Iowa and coached at Indiana State. And our most successful team coach of any men’s sport was not from the U of Iowa, but from our state rival....Iowa State. But for years proved he WAS the best coach available anywhere.
Other schools such as Michigan football had this philosophy and it failed once on them and may again.

I must have missed the two College World Series appearances in Omaha. I'm thinking every other Hawk fan did too. Did we win it?
If he could recruit the likes of Sam Bradford and Adrian Peterson to Iowa City then the record is better. If not then it's no worse.
Unfortunately later in his tenure thats not what alot of the fans in Norman were calling him.
It sounds like Hairball and Michigan are negotiating a lifetime contract. Hope KF hasn’t found out!

You are blind...have fun watching KF try and coach up 2 stars every game. Recruiting is NOT taken seriously....again, you are blind if you think he surrounds himself with great recruiters, and actually goes after TOP talent....he doesn't.

Iowa's recruiting is well below average for the Big10 and they don't bring in the horses. Doyle saves Ferentz and Co.'s butt year after year in my opinion.
Your comment does nothing to justify or explain the statement that they don't take it (recruiting) 'seriously'.
Its fun how the grass is always greener, don't you think? Like the poster that referred to his nickname, Big Game Bob. There were alot of fans in OK that wanted old Big Game run a couple of years ago. Lost 3 of his last 4 bowl games by some pretty lopsided scores. 2012 lost 41-13 in the Cotton Bowl. 2014 lost 40-6 to Clemson, 2015 lost 37-17 to Clemson again. I guess its not just KF that gets pasted in bowl games.....
You give these same players to stoops and Iowa beats
Purdue - Northwestern - MSU and probably PSU.
Probably lose to OSU as that was a classic KF miracle.
So 3 win improvement for Iowa with Stoops
