Quit going because all they talked about was donations every single week. It got so bad that we felt like that was more important than the word of Christ.

I’m kinda with you. I sing in the church choir, and week after week, they are asking for money and more money. I completely understand that church attendance is way down, but it would be refreshing for one week to back off from asking for money.

That said, a church just donated $1600 to my school, so it’s fine if other churches keep asking.
