Wigginton....He Gone

They will compete for something....probably 9th place in the B12.

You still sticking with this? Rasir most likely with a waiver, grill, and th me rest of them. Prohm will get
Players and will compete
Why would Rasir get a waiver? ISU has nobody near level of Wieskamp (outside) or Garza (inside), but they probably do have enough to compete in big 12.

Lol tons of stars outside of Wieskamp and Garza on that roster next year. Gun be a rough year.

Lmao, look at Bolton's performance down the stretch for PSU.

A mediocre 6th man. Maybe a poor man's Wiggington.

Nunge and Pmac would arguably be the best players for ISU this season.

Connor Mccaffery destroyed Halliburton last year in fewer minutes played.

You must be expecting a 30 point win in Hilton then

I expect a win.
And apparently you feel Iowa will have a handful of draft picks next spring as well since two players that may not start for Iowa are better than a projected first round draft pick in Haliburton.

I would say this dude is the level of Wieskamp right now in their careers.

LOL! At least Iowa has a couple legit stars. ISU has nobody even close to those two, and could possibly start Jacobson and Young. I would love to see both play extended minutes against Iowa...that is until Jacobson loses it again and punches someone in frustration. You shouldn’t feel too bad though, the clones may compete ok in a weaker than usual big 12.

I can't wait for Young to get back.

Me too! I hope he plays A LOT. LOL!

Yeah that shooting percentage is very Wieskamp like. Lol
I'm gonna guess just like Shayok he worked on his shot a bit. Maybe not. We will see.
If Wieskamp played in the MWC he could have averaged 20 ppg as a freshman. The only thing holding him back (from a 20 ppg avg) would be that he is too much of a team player.

Good or not, Prohm has a pretty good record at Iowa State and he is better than average. Can you argue be has done a better job than Fran?

Campbell is also better than average.

Pollard...yes as much as Hawk fans dislike him, he is a great fit for Iowa St. Not sure how he affects Iowa athletics good or bad.

Prohm’s not a good coach. Not sold on Campbell either. He needed to win that bowl game to have merely a “good” season imo.

As far as I’m concerned Jamie Pollard is the best thing to happen for the Hawkeyes in a while.

I hope they keep him for a long time so we don’t have to worry about losing to them much in the future.

Hawkeye logic...

Garza: 13.1 ppg on 53% FG% , 4.5 rpg = legit STAR!!

Jacobsen: 11.1 ppg on 57% FG%, 5.9 rpg = a nobody

Keep these lines coming this is great!

He does have trouble against post players that stretch the floor like Garza likes to do but he is by far our best post defender. I'm hoping Conditt can slow down Garza some. He is giving up 30 Pounds and 1 to 2 inches but is very long with a 7'6 Wingspan. I'm hoping his length gives Garza troubles.

We all saw what happened when Jacobson actually had to face the bigger front courts of the Big 10. Wesson destroyed him and Lard had to switch on him.

Rasir’s freshman numbers are actually similar to Wiescamps. Also, Halliburton has pronpitential at Iowa state as well.

I hear A LOT of crickets all of a sudden.

What part of Bolton's stats?

His pedestrian player efficiency ratio of 11.8 or his below average win shares per 40 minutes of .070?

He's a chucker that doesn't play defense.

By contrast Wieskamp had a PER of 19.1 and a WS/40 of .154.

Keep fooling yourself that Bolton is comparable.

Halliburton is good but Bolton is a 6th man volume shooter.

Garza ain't in the same stratosphere as Wesson sorry to burst your bubble.

Who is likely to be Iowas 6th and 7th man next year? Excited to listen to this answer. If Bolton is our 6th man were in great shape.

LOL! ISU really needs to worry about 3 through 5, let alone 6 or 7.

He sure dominated at Nebraska didn't he? Had to leave the conference to get playing time.
I think he rebounded pretty well. But I'm not gonna lie I didn't watch much Nebraska Bball at that time.

So who is your projected 7-8 man rotation?

Depends if Bohannon plays or redshirts. Assuming he's out I project:

Connor or Toussaint
Wieskamp/Fredrick
PMac/Wieskamp/Till
Nunge/Pemsl
Garza/Kriener

Possible Fredrick starts at SG and Wieskamp at SF too.
