Wigginton....He Gone

I am curious, why did Fran redshirt two players you seem to feel would have started this year? Seems like a very odd move.

You mean Pemsl, who has to have surgery? You mean Frederick, who had broken ribs right before the year started? You mean Nunge, who took redshirt year to bulk up so that he could be a better player for the position he is a better fit for? You ignorance in this thread is astounding. It’s almost like you have hardly an idea what you are arguing about.

Wow, that’s a dumb post for many reasons.

Not really. His stats are very similar to Joe Wiescamps. His team was not as good but he averaged more points. Joe had a way better assist to turnover ratio. Field goal percentage is similar. Joe had a little bit better 3 point percentage. Put this kid in the Iowa State run and gun style and allow for development and I would say Iowa State got a good transfer.

Have you guys landed any transfers yet, or maybe there are some more walk-ons you can award a scholly?

Our last scholarship walk-on averaged 10 points and 7 boards against you over 3 seasons and was the B10 6th man of the year.

I know you're trying to troll, but if you wouldn't want a Nick Baer coming off your bench you're out of your gourd.

I mainly meant your spelling/grammar but if you actually watched them play (instead of just going by stats) and still come to that conclusion, you don’t know anything about basketball or are delusional or just intentionally being ridiculous to feed your agenda.

There is a reason that Wieskamp was able to get workouts with NBA teams while Bolton saw less time in the Big Ten on a bad team.

LOL

Are you looking at the correct stats for Wieskamp? Joe shot 10.5 percent better from the field and 6 percent better from 3 point land. How can you say those are similar?

Bolton:

11.6 PPG
2.0 RPG
1.5 APG
2.6 TO/G
38.3% FG
36.1% 3FG
87.6% FT%
98.1 ORtg1
106.9 DRtg
11.8 PER
47.1% eFG
24.9% USG
.070 WS/40

Wieskamp:

11.1 PPG
4.9 RPG
1.1 APG
1.1 TO/G
48.8% FG
42.4% 3FG

76.7% FT%
125.5 ORtg
105.2 DRtg
19.1 PER
60.4% eFG

17.6% USG
.154 WS/40

Yeah, a lot of Iowa players played their best games of the year against us. Some players played their only game of the year against us. It's almost like they felt that game was more important than others...

You don't really believe that, do you?

You make two assertions, both of them are factually wrong. Cordell Pemsl played in TWO games last year. Despite your narrative, he actually attempted to play during the season. In terms of points, no player had their best game of the season against Iowa State. Tyler cook put up 26, but he matched that in other games.

Also, bro you have over 1300 posts on this site. How are you going to sit there and say we're the ones who care too much about the other team.

I didn't say you care too much; I said the team does.
Versus State, whose team would actually prefer to lose, right? LMAO

You know, the team who cares and wants to win more usually does, so maybe you clowns should mix up your philosophy and stop pretending like you don’t care about Iowa’s basketball team while you post on their team site.

Another thought, maybe if you opted to hold more than one contributing player on your team from Iowa, they’d put a little more weight on the CyHawk game. Jacobsen, as big of a D as he was being, was the only one on the team who looked like he gave a FF during the game last year

Why would Rasir get a waiver? ISU has nobody near level of Wieskamp (outside) or Garza (inside), but they probably do have enough to compete in big 12.
After a little over a Month your statement is looking to be somewhat false.

Why? What happened to Wieskamp? He didn’t go NBA, did he?!
Because you said ISU has nobody the level of Wieskamp and so far that statement proves to be false. Joe is a better scorer than Tyrese. But I believe Haliburton is the better all around player. Only time will tell but both teams have a damn good player to get behind for the next few years.

How did all that talent on Iowa State’s roster work out for you guys last year? I assume you at least made the second round of the NCAA tournament- it would be pretty embarrassing not to.
Actually after all the player drama and bs I was just glad to get the season over with and start fresh with a clean slate.

Bottom line....I would not even consider (for one second) trading Wieskamp for any current clone player.

And I wouldn't trade Haliburton to Iowa for any hawk player. Really the success of both teams next season will have alot to do with how good those 2 progress.

Halliburton is good but tough to make an argument that he's a better all around player.

Win shares per 40 minutes
Joe: .154
Tyrese: .148

Player efficiency rating
Joe: 19.1
Tyrese: 16.4

As of now I would say neither are the best players. Luka Garza is now arguably the best player on either roster.

You're posting european league highlights of your own team's players on your rival team's board . . . in a thread that hasn't been discussed in a month and a half.

I suppose we're all a little lame for posting on here, but you sir go above and beyond the call of duty.

Haliburton was surrounded by elite talent on the 19U team. Not going to be the case this season in Ames. Haliburton is a really nice piece but I dont think he can be relied on to be the guy next season.

Jacobsen, Bolton and Nixon have already showed they can consistently score double figures at the college level. That is a nice core for Haliburton to work with. Solomon Young is also back. After Garza and Weiskamp the Hawks have no proven scorers. That is trouble.

I will take the potential of Nunge and PMac all day over the inefficient chucking of Bolton and Nixon. There is a reason Bolton was a bench player at a 14 win PSU that Iowa beat on the road.

Keep in mind that Jacobson only averaged double figures last year. He was not a scorer at Nebraska. Nunge has far more length, athleticism and upside.

Nixon is a bad shooter that was an inefficient offensive player at CSU. There is no guarantee Bolton will play next year and he also shot poorly and was inefficient at PSU.

If you are depending on Jacobson to be your 2nd or 3rd option on offense then you have trouble.

Conditt has more length, athleticism and upside than Nunge. This is easy. I can do that too.

What does Nebraska have to do with anything? Probably why he transferred and their coach was fired. Last I checked Jacobsen put up 11 ppg last year and was one of the most effecient players in the conference.

Hawkeyes guard consist of McCaffrey and two freshman. TROUBLE!

Jacobson got dominated when he got outside of undersized Big 12 lineups. Tyler Cook destroyed him and Kaleb Wesson humiliated him.

By what measure is Conditt better that Nunge?

Recruit ranking:
Conditt: .8681, 327th in his class
Nunge: .8797, 202nd in his class

It's stupid to even be arguing this. Conditt scored 2 ppg and 1.7 rpg and ISU had no post depth. He has no offensive game whatsoever. Nunge can score in the post and shoot outside.

Considering ISU homers think he's so good at defense, it's amusing that he got only 4 minutes against OSU when their entire offense runs through Wesson.

So "you can do this too" but as usual, there is no basis of fact.

Rather odd to make the claim that the Moo U game is of udder(sic) importance to the Hawk players when I seem to recall that a certain Clown player prematurely said he had some special celebration he would unveil after they beat Iowa at Carver. Not to mention all the unsportsmanlike conduct of several ISU players at Carver over the years, something I've never observed from the Iowa players at Hilton.

At least pretend to know what you're talking about before spouting off.

It consists of Connor, the bench player who dominated Halliburton head to head.

Joe Toussaint
CJ Fredrick
Bakari Evelyn - grad transfer

Plus, Joe will in all likelihood play frequently at SG while Pat is at SF.

By the way, didn't the team in Ames start a few freshman last year?

Asking an honest question here because I don't know and I'm actually interested: Are there a lot of Iowa fans who troll the ISU message boards stirring up trouble?

Jacobson led the country in assholery last year and will probably repeat the same this year. What a ginormous, seeping douchebag.
