I openly admit I post with the intention of bothering every PSU fan on here and those Iowa fans that are so "entitled" that they complain like Iowa sucks, when the ONLY team in the country that is better is possibly on the most dominant streak there has ever been in modern college athletics...
Now, if you are referencing my "liking to be right", that was taken a bit out of context, considering it was poorly worded on my part, when I WANTED to be wrong about Spencer possibly being injured again. Now, to be clear, NO ONE likes to be wrong, so of course, I debate my point fervently. But, the actual back and forth is always the main focus. Hell, most of the time I am 100% sure no one on either side is going to remotely budge on their position.
On top of it all, I even openly invite people to dislike me. When it comes to an anonymous message board, I am about as open as a book can get...
Come clean. There is NO way you are actually an Iowa fan. You were already caught for lying once. The band aid has been ripped off. A little salt in the wound won't hurt anything. Just admit it.

Eh, that depends on who bought it. I had friends and family that tried to buy mine UofM stuff too. Most of it ended up being used when I ran out of toilet paper or couldn't find any baby wipes!!

That is fair. I simply think your love for DT and, honestly, a LOT of PSU related bow-down-to-ism, makes it hard to see it. Add to it how you act towards anyone that seems to be in any way a fan of the current regime and you should be able to see how easily you sow doubt...

And you're right. I definitely don't have a HATRED towards PSU like a lot here. I'm a fan of the way Carl runs things, and wish we would operate either close to that, or do things differently that would get us closer to beating him.

Acknowledging how good they have been is quite a bit different than "bowing down". Peyton Manning didn't bow down to Tom Brady. He knew how good he was and how hard to beat he was going to be. There is a difference.
Mind you, I openly point out how incredible PSU is right now and how hard it is to beat them. But, the way I do it makes it pretty clear to all I am not in any way a PSU fan. There are plenty of PSU fans on here that are happy to point that out!

There are ways to do it without looking like a fan in the process. As I said, how I do it gives you a pretty easy template to follow.
I am pretty sure you don’t know what straw man means. There are very easy ways to show your biggest rival respect while every part of your being wants to beat them and even make them look bad in the process…

I think this is on you to be less sensitive. @vhsalum doesn't believe in Tom, but the fact he has such a strong opinion comes from the fact he wants the hawks to win.
I think you may be missing the point of my contention with him regarding PSU. I one hundred percent separate his stance regarding Tom versus how he refers to anything PSU.
Most fans have a hard time giving any respect to a rival, regardless of how good they are, and if they do, it is often very begrudgingly. The way VHS does it, makes it hard not to think of him as a PSU fan, let alone as an Iowa fan.

Come on, man. Most of my posts on this topic have been quite short. Out of my last 12 posts/replies, 10 were 4 sentences or less with most of those being 2 or less....
For you, and those similarly minded, that is what makes it fun!
The guy lies about wrestling at Iowa, and some people still believe everything he says, lol.
We don’t agree on everything, but criticisms like
1. We need a better RTC
2. Don’t bring in AJ
3. We need to recruit better
All seem like fair game to me. Some people will defend Tom to the death, and some focus more on his flaws. I don’t really have a problem with either as long as they’re fair.
Then “super fan” VHS comes along and gives us gems like
1. Iowa has more money than PSU. Completely false
2. Tom is forcing Real to wrestle through injury, with picture of whip. Completely false
3. Constantly mentions Tom running everyone into the ground. On face value it wouldn’t bother me, but he hasn’t mentioned any of the changes made to ensure this isn’t an issue. Telling a one sided story for sure.
4. Runs with the rumor that DT had meetings scheduled with our AD, which he never did.
It goes on and on and on…
It feels personal between him and Tom. Don’t know why and don’t really care, but let’s stop pretending as if he is some source of truth. Honestly, I’d guess he was an ISU fan and had some low level connections with that program, but it doesn’t really matter.
The simple truth is, there is an inherent bias in everyone. Myself included. Now, I am aware of it, so I try very hard to not let it control me, but, at times, I am as guilty as anyone. Now, why does that matter? Well, its because we are much more willing to accept someone's stance when it aligns with what we want to hear.
People that aren't big fans of Tom and/or Terry are much more willing to take his posts at face value because they like what he is saying...

1. We do. We just choose to spend it differently. This wasn't the case prior to that initial fan-led fundraiser started by this board. Tom raised $31 MILLION dollars in what? 5-ish years or so?
Tom just chooses to spend the money differently than PSU. A new building and NILs.
2. Not false. Obviously I was being a bit obtuse, as I'm sure Real wasn't saying he DIDN'T want to wrestle. But it is very clear that Real could have/should have rested more than he did. Tom just has a different philosophy than most.
3. Probably fair that im more negative than most. I keep hearing about these changes, and we do seem to be getting better at not just completely wetting the bed at NCAAs. But Seniors still seem to get hit with doing worse, or at least not doing better (Spencer, Kem, Bull, Woods, Franek). I'm not completely off base here.
4. NEVER said that. Ever. I was very clear that our AD would look/like to talk with DT after the Olympics. Now, our dear friend bob nicolls has refuted that Beth even knows who DT is. So obviously, you can choose to believe whom you want.
Maybe I’m confused but besides Mesinbrink, who is Caliendo losing to? Carr gone, KOT/Hamiti at 74.
Hopefully Beth has heard of Jordan Burroughs, Iowa is going to be a big job when TnT hang it up, and there’s no better candidate for the job then the goat JB.
