I'm coming home for this game. I've had this game circled for the past year as I believe it will be the biggest conference game for KF in the last decade. Iowa has a respectable but very manageable schedule this year. Wisconsin and Penn St have top 15 talent on their rosters. Nebraska, Iowa St and Northwestern are three teams that could fall in the top 35. Iowa gets all but 1(PSU) of these teams at home this year.
Wisconsin vs Iowa has been a pretty one sided affair lately but Iowa typically is always in the game. The winner this year has an inside track on winning the West. Only Wisconsin and Iowa have the horses in the West to compete. Wisconsin has firmly established themselves as a top 3 dog in the B1G. A win in this game and a trip to the B1G Championship couldn't come at a greater time for Iowa. Chryst will have Wisconsin firmly placed as a top 4/5 team in the B1G for a long time. I full on believe Frost will get at minimum Nebraska back to the 9,10 win rinse and repeat days of Bo Pelini. Iowa needs a win here to prove to the nation and to recruits it is still a threat in the B1G. That Iowa can and will compete for conference and even maybe national crowns. That they can contend in an improving West Division and that they will be a team trending not one fading. With Wisconsin and Nebraska's stock rising right now Iowa needs to hit the reset button this year on the future stock of the B1G West.
