Wow. Didn't see the whole UW vs LSU game, but watched most of it while listening to Dolph and Ed call the Iowa vs Miami game.

I was really struck by the ability of the Badger LBs to get into the offensive backfield, seemingly at will, anytime they wanted. That LSU QB was seriously harassed.

I was half hoping that the graduation of Schobel would lessen their effectiveness, but that pass rush is the real deal. 42,43 and 47 lived in the LSU backfield. Impressive.

Bummer.

Not to denigrate what Wisconsin did today...but from what I watched, it was the same, unimaginative, foot-shooting LSU offense they are most every year.

Never has so much physical talent been wasted so badly by a school year after year. It's like the total never equals the sum of the parts on offense. It's the reason the locals want Les Miles fired.

Also 48 Cichy who had the 3 consecutive sacks against USC last year.. He had a big day and a forced fumble too..

Fortunately, line-backing (even with Joe Shobert's departure for the NFL) was not a question for the Badgers this year. The only issue now is when ILB TJ Edwards will return and the extent of ILB Chris Orr's injury, who went down on the first series yesterday.

I can't figure out who gets less out of the talent they stockpile - LSU or Oklahoma.

I agree all the way, when I was switching over I saw a group of Lb'ers that are good, but I would guess 90% of the time they were only 3-4 yards off the line because all LSU could do was run the ball. I expect another game like last year when the Badgers come to town but this game is hard to judge how good Wisky is because LSU's offense is just down right bad right now.

It's not surprising. Wisconsin has a good front 7. Regarding LSU, their QB play stinks and has for 4-5 years now. When there's no vertical threat, you can pin your ears back all day long.
