Schedule gets easier but thanks for the insightAt this point, NIT is probably the ceiling. Coaching is holding the team back. Schedule only gets tougher, starting with Purdue.

Let’s revisit this in mid-March. I am man enough to admit when I’m wrong.Silly statement. Rutgers seldom loses at the RAC and the NIT would be the floor.
I disagree.Schedule gets easier but thanks for the insight
So players don't benefit from playing more games?Loser mentality.
Only because Tennessee went to sleep. Iowa trailed by 21 at halftime. Iowa has yet to be within single digits at halftime of a second round game under Fran. 17, 25, 21, and 10 point deficits at halftime.Fran usually wins 1st game in ncaa, it is the 2nd game that Iowa usually gets blown out. The game
vs Tennessee was the only one that was competitive.
^^^ This ^^^We need 7 more wins. We are not firmly in without those 7 more. As of today we have 0 Quad 1 wins. 0. We have to win some games and we lost a great chance last night.
You really comparing the cfp to a 64 team tourney?I’d rather compete at the higher level than win at a lower level. I’d rather get stomped in the B1G than come in 2nd to Wisconsin in the West. I’d rather make the playoffs and get crushed by Georgia than win a lesser bowl. Nobody really fixates on the outcome - you were just a tournament team or a division champ or a team that made the playoffs.
It’s the same basic concept. You really comparing the cfp to a 64 team tourney?
C'mon now
We might never make a cfp...not really the same thingIt’s the same basic concept.
Sure, but I’ve read comments from people on this board saying they wouldn’t want to go to the CFP just to be pounded by Bama, which is why I made the comparison in the first place. We might never make a cfp...not really the same thing
I see. Well I'd take that cfp loss, at least it's new. But I'd rather see Iowa possibly win the nit and finish their season on a win vs a first round loss in the Ncaat....which is probably a very high probability.Sure, but I’ve read comments from people on this board saying they wouldn’t want to go to the CFP just to be pounded by Bama, which is why I made the comparison in the first place.
