Wow. Nebraska sucks.

Or maybe with the talent in Florida just about any competent coach can and has won at UCF in that conference. Doesn't mean you can coach in the B1G.
In the B10 West they can. I am sure that is why Frost is performing a demolition and total rebuild. He feels that once he rebuilds in the weak division of the B10 the Nubs can rule and get to the CCG on a regular basis. No one could fault him for that line of thinking.

And Frost has experience at a total demolition and rebuild? When was that?

Let's see:
2015 UCF 0-12 ....Scott Frost hired the next year
2016 UCF 6-7 .....lost to Ark St in Bowl
2017 UCF 13-0 ....beat Auburn in bowl

Does that qualify for you...LOL!

You're not really that dumb are you?
So you are trying to say that Frost doesn't get credit for their success? He doesn't get any credit for Mariota winning the Heisman and Oregon making the playoff? What is your point or are you just trying to dismiss Frost's accomplishments because he is at a B10 West rival and gets paid more than KF?

Chip Kelly built Oregon and no one else. Frost was there for the ride. Frost actually babysat the players and then was chosen for OC for about 2 minutes.

Kelly was also paying a Texas Coach/connection $25K to send recruits to Oregon. They got busted by the NCAA and he had to run off to the nfl to serve his 4 year NCAA ban.

So was Chip good bc of his coaching or cheating?

LOL!! That`s why he got UCF head coach. Kelly left at the end of the 2012 season and Helferich took over and Frost moved to OC and QB coach grooming Mariota and became a finalist for the Broyles award given to the nation`s top assistant. Funny people around here.

No. One losing season does not constitute a total demolition and rebuild.

Not sure how much grooming Mariota needed. He had already started a season before Frost, where he completed 68.5 percent of his passes for 2,677 yards, with 32 tds to 6 ints. In that season of starting before Frost, he rushed for an additional 752 yards.

But as I reflect on things further, I am sure that Mariota would have been complete garbage without Frost.

I'm glad the ISU troll thinks that Frost will be successful. He's pretty never right.

He misses the Nebraska game on the clown fall calendar. The Cornhuskers future is no longer subject to the whims of Texas and Oklahoma. Very different from the Big 12, being thankful for table scraps from UT and OU.

Everyone's heard the expression, "You can't polish a turd." And it's true. But, ISU trolls sure haven't gotten the message on that in regard to defending their program. Just when I think I've heard every excuse, witnessed every deflection, come across every inaccuracy, suffered through every lie and chuckled at every misinterpretation, up pops a fresh batch of them all. Even more rancid and pathetic that what had been spewed upon us previously. I'll say this, Iowa State may be a nothing in football. But, some of their fans show remarkable tenacity in their attempts to make nothing seem like something. It's a shame that doesn't mean a damn thing on the field.

I love how after he got smoked last week Frost called this game a “winnable game.” Lol
It was a winnable game. We don't have a ton on the schedule, Purdue was definitely winnable. Losing the game doesn't mean it wasn't a winnable game.

We have games like Wisconsin, OSU, Michigan, and Iowa (a little less so than the first three) who are so much better than Nebraska right now. Purdue and Nebraska aren't in very different spots. Do I wish he wouldn't have said it? Sure, if it means it didn't help motivate your team.

Yes. But we weren't talking junk about winning the conference either.

Frost has talented players on that roster. All the recruiting services the last several years ranked some good Nebraska classes. Kirk had none of that coming in his first year, literally built the program from scratch.

These guys look worse than Riley's Huskers, and I didn't think that was possible.
What "junk" was talked about winning the conference? You're twisting what was said, and I think you know it.

At this time he has a pretty decent pool of evidence
If you're looking at his track record, the evidence doesn't point to a bad coach or even a mediocre coach. I don't care what league you compete in, winning championships is hard. You don't go undefeated by accident. He'll adapt and figure out how to get Nebraska straightened out. It's not an instantaneous thing. He's 0-4 right now though he could easily be or 3-2 with the Akron game. He's not, and that's fine. He's still the same coach with the same staff, and they'll be fine. Starting a true freshman QB game 1 out of the game is tough when you can't lean on your defense or offensive line.

When you have the worst offensive line in the B1G to work with (https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/college-big-ten-ol-rankings-week-5) you can only do so much until you are able to turn the corner with recruiting guys who can play in your system.

I thought people were talking about this season, his first in a P5 conference as a head coach. His pre season chatter was pretty optimistic.

When you hire the coach of the year, there is plenty of reason to be optimistic for the season. I think everyone is optimistic for the long-term. I don't think anyone, Husker fans or anyone else, expected things to start the way they have.

Some may disagree, but it looks like they're starting to put some things together offensively. The Oline played better, although I won't expect better play until they string a few games together, but the defense is still going to struggle into the near-future until we get some dudes to step and and find a playmaker or two.

I don't like Nebraska but come on... it's his first year. Kirk won 1 game in his first season and picked things up to get to the Orange Bowl in one of my most favorite seasons ever in 4 years. He cleaned out some of the old guys who quit and is playing some young guys. They will get better as much as I don't want them to.

I also remember the trumpeting of Kirk Ferentz and how he was going to bring multiple national championships to Iowa when he was hired and how Iowa fans got in the face of just about everyone about how Iowa was going to destroy the rest of college football . . . oh wait . . . that didn't happen. The "message" from the NU fans has markedly changed since the day he was hired. T

100% agree, and it is why we are fans. No matter what, you are going to sip some sort of koolaid about your team and always hope for the best.

FYI - Todd Lickliter was a coach of the year prior to coaching the Hawkeyes to places they had never been before.

You left out that Michigan, Urban Liar and Penn State were afraid of what just happened when this hire went down.
