WWE Raw

I just watched it on YouTube...it really is a miracle that Flair's reputation has survived the 'me too' movement. I do question the thought process of having an open bar on a 14 hr flight.

Also how did the adults up front know what was going on in the back until someone came and got JR. Sounds like the WWE settled with the stewardess, which it the only good outcome that could of come with that cluster.

I do chuckle at the thought of Brock and Curt wrestling around on the plane.

Edit...after seeing the reaction to this last episode online, he may take a hit. I'd be surprised to see him in AEW in the near future.

Flair has been doing this for years. In the 30 For 30 Documentary. They did a version of him doing this on a Euro flight in WCW. Basically giving Sting a private dance.

WWE took him out of their intro, he lost his Car Shield campaigns...guessing had he not left the E, he would of gotten Hogan'd. Difference is Hogan had the time to get back in their good graces, and the fans still boo him, not sure if Flair has enough time left to get redemption, or if he deserves it.

RVD said to don't meet your heroes, and JR has said that numerous times on his podcast.

Still processing this. I get and respect Martha hates Vince, but who in AEW came up with the idea to contact her...the Bucks, Cody, Omega, any of his contemporaries, none are there, likely made a call to Bret, and he ok'd it?

The family will get a payday from new 'Owen Action Figures' and video game sales, but if they had an agenda beyond spite, Vince would of made them millions (see Connor's Cure), but kudos to Martha...she wins?

No she lost her husband, I understand, but it was an accident.

AEW is exploiting for profit an accident that happened 20 plus years before their inception. The whole Owen Hart is All Elite is beyond tacky, there was a better way to announce this.

Look forward to the #MachoMan is ALL ELITE....

Civil Lawsuits can get extremely ugly. Doubt the widow wants to hear things about Owen's lack of marketability and earning power. Martha probably didn't want to let Vince earn another penny off Owen's name. Hence the copyright infringement lawsuit in 2013 by her as well.

Obviously the likely ambassador to Martha was Mark Henry...

Bret has worked with AEW in the past, so I doubt he would have issues with this...

Tony Kahn is a life long wrestling fan, unlike Vince, and this looks like a great way to honor Owen, give something back to his fans (the over 45 demo), and cut Vince and the WWE completely out of the picture...

I don't see a down side...

It just seems like a skeeve move by the company everyone loves because they are the "good guys"...to make them money off a talent/f'n tragedy they had nothing to do with.

I'm sure Bret will come in to do something (along with bruce and keith, because they never turn down a free meal) and everyone will goosh, forget about actual history, it will be fantastic.

AEW is showing you how to book a nostalgia act like Sting. Sting did not look like he was a 62 year old with a bad neck out there. Good job by FTR and Darby to make him look good. Also Sting at that age being in good Cardio condition it laudible as well. You can tell he's simply not cashing a paycheck and wants to get these guys over.

Unfortunately, not the same case for Arn Anderson (who I love).

Cody's character is a mess. Tone deaf booking. Plus Black is hard not to appreciate with his move set and look. Reminds me of The Great Muta in his prime.
Unless Cody is going up against the NWA champion, I kind of want him to be a heel...hmm, Cody shows up and challenges Trevor Murdoch for the belt, claiming he isn't fit to carry "his Daddy's" title...Cody wins, carries it for a while and makes Nick Aldis jump through hoops for a third bout...

The intro at Kinnick did remind me of Goldberg. Just missed having a guy knock on the door saying it's time.

How long has the WWE opted for the Rumble Camera effect. Might be time for Kevin Dunn to at least limit it some. Every clothesline or knee strike doesn't need to be seen as a Superman Punch.

Anyone following the slap-fight between Brian Last and Conrad Thompson? Last (host of Cornette's podcasts and a handful of other niche podcast for the longtime wrestling fan, threw some shade at presumably Conrad (host of Bruce Prichard, JR, Eric Bischoff, Arn Anderson, Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett's pods) a couple of months ago about trying to poach one of his podcasts (John Arezzi) and then this week released his quarterly 6:05 Supercast and totally buried Thompson without mentioning his name (Balless Kid from Alabama and BallFree Shows) but did mention Bruce Prichard and Eric Bischoff's names directly. Buried Arezzi, and then proceeded to give pretty detailed info aboutRon Fuller (another one of his podcast's and Col. Parker in WCW) apparently beating his girlfriend and how he had to fire him for scamming him out of money, but just threw the domestic abuse stuff in as an add-on.

So pro-wrestling...lol. Guessing Conrad has some sort of legal threat against Last since he never said his name and Last had his lawyer on with him? I enjoy Last with Cornette generally, not sure who he is, sounds like he worked at Sony, but is very impressed with himself and his hate for the WWE, Vince and HHH is pretty amped. I get the impression he thinks he is a big deal.

I would venture Thompson's podcast listeners lap Last's audience 5-6 times per week.

These Podcast feuds usually remind me of teenage girls. Fighting over the cute boys.

Steroid Trial was pretty solid on Dark Side, comical how McDevitt toyed with the Feds and their case.

Interesting that of all the WWE people they've likely asked for permission to appear on the series, Vince agrees to allow the one guy that truley knows where all the bodies are buried to appear, but in this case the WWE came off as borderline sympathetic.

Never knew that Hogan called an audible on his Arsenio Hall comments vs. what he agreed with Vince on saying.

Saw this, sounds like most their talent is free to go where ever in the meantime, but at least Sinclair didn't cancel them all together.

Hopefully this isn't another NXT 2.0.
Might be waiting for AEW to cool off some. Then decide where the niche is.

So Bray Wyatt/Wyndham Rotunda’s non-compete expires today. Where does he end up?

ROH has continued to blow their chances over the years...lots of poor decision making from not branding "All In" as an ROH show, to not resigning Cody and the Bucks, not absolutely no follow up to the MSG show to no set night and time on the Sinclair stations...just mind boggling...an indy company running their first show ever sold out the 2300 Arena with a 1000 people the other week, ROH drew 300 for their last show in the same building...

As far as the talent there goes: Impact, NWA, MLW, NJPW Strong, UWN, and the relaunching WOW should see a boost in their talent pools...the only talent I want to see in AEW are the Briscoes...

It would be cool and good promotional idea if ROH let whoever has the belts at the end of the PPV in Dec continue to defend them wherever they end up going, at least get them on TV somehow...but they won't...

Wyndham should go to Japan for a year or two...but with young kids does he really want to be away from them? Otherwise I'd just do short term or per appearance deals with everyone and be everywhere (The Cody post WWE playbook)

Sounds like ROH will be producing a tv show each week while on hiatus, I'm guessing featuring some of their best of matches, which could be pretty good viewing with the guys that have worked there. I'm not sure if Sinclair has rights to their product from before they purchased them, I would think they would?

No, Sinclair only has rights to matches after they purchased ROH...that's why they are having such a hard time selling their match library...the biggest event in it is "All In"...none of the Punk, Danielson, Tyler Black, Samoa Joe matches would be included

Based on that, guessing Sinclair paid about $47 for ROH's assests.

Haven't watched it a lot since Covid, I just can't with the empty or sparsely populated arena's, but always thought Quinn McKay would find her way to either WWE or AEW, she pretty much carried the few covid shows of theirs that I watched in her role of commentator.

Looking forward to it at Full Gear. Mox is definitely pushing more heel tendencies.
