WWE Raw

I'll add this - is there a good tag team fued in the company? Is anyone else completely bored by DIY, War Raiders, Creed Bros, LWO, Legado del Fantasma, New Catch Republic, Motor City Machine Guns? I'm more entertained by the comedy jobber teams like Alpha Academy & Pretty Deadly.
Street Profits & New Day are the only 2 I find entertained/invested in.

It's crazy what a break from a tag team can do to their relevance. Felt like everyone had some Street Profits fatigue, they shelf for a bit, come back with a push and now they're at the top.

New Day needed the heel turn, freshen it up. Now they're kind of bad ass.

I don't mind DIY, WR, MCMG, but the pool is shallow, so it's just them over and over. I'm sure I'll feel the same way about Street Profits in a month.

I feel like tag team wrestling is the one thing AEW does consistently better than WWE. Also, these guys make me laugh every time I see them.

Mania tickets should be dropping like a rock soon.
Many factors. Not as much intentional travel as previous years.
No key storylines are crescendoing.
Ticket prices/economic uncertainty.

As of Saturday per Wrestletix on Twitter-

Night 1: 48,621 tickets distributed
Night 2: 51,044 tickets distributed

They are 6,500 away of selling out both nights at 53, 400 each with 2 weeks of tv to go, so it's not like they are facing a half empty stadium.

Stadium holds 68K, so they have room to open more up, but Mania is the one event I don't see them skimping on the stage to get a couple more thousand bodies in the place, like they have been doing on the other PLE's like Rumble etc.

I'm not sure they care about 'selling-out' as much as they used to, as long as the place looks full and it feels big-time (it always does), I'm sure they would rather keep breaking gate records vs. attendance records.

Milking the fans dry until they scream uncle 10000 to meet the Huckester for a few minutes. I guess as long as there’s a sucker to pay it.
Still it reminds me of AEW leading up to their London show. Eventually the fans don’t see the value. Last year you could feel the excitement in the buildup. This year it all feels thrown together. They’ve all gotten paid. Netflix money, USA money, sponsors money, Saudi money. Not a lot of incentive to build a solid show.
WWE is supposed to be hot as hell right now. 60000 both nights for the SuperBowl should have been sold out months ago.

Man, poor Bayley. 1 year ago she was getting a huge royal rumble push and winning the womens championship.

Now she's in a botchfest and losing the IC to Lyra. Has no storyline, has no feud, just kind of ... jobbing the last few months.

I think that is what they are testing, how high can we jack up tickets and still get a big crowd. This peak will not last, never does, so they are making hay while the sun is shining.

TKO, knows WWE and UFC have built up a lot of goodwill. They spent a shit load to acquire them in the cash cow phase.
There is still some post Corona we want to be out vibes going on. When the economy gets rough Live Events are one of the first to tank. You’re probably correct on the prices. But creative still shouldn’t be sitting back and being content. Once the goodwill goes it’s difficult to get back.
Nobody could have predicted what happened to WCW. It’s not nearly as bad. But there are certain ingredients present. Guys getting paid no matter what. No sense of urgency. A bunch of older guys / part timers taking Main Event slots. Wrestlers more removed from the fans.

So where has Roxanne Perez been since Elimination Chamber? They just call her up and forget about her?
Most of the NXT talent simply isn’t ready. They get exposed in the arena shows.
NXT is a double edged sword. It gives them a false sense of confidence. Unearned confidence before failing. The first failures they get is on the main roster.

Sure, but is she doing dark matches or ?? She got two big PLE pushes with a record setting RR and then subsequent EC, but then nothing.

Well in the old days you’d be giving Michael Hayes a BJ. To get on the show . See Melina from MnM.
Think she’s been in catering and house shows.
