Let's get into Gentlemen. Far too depressing a time we've been having on this board.

Penn State
125 - DNQ
133 - RBY 2
141 - Nick Lee 1
149 - DNQ
157 - Joe Lee 8
165 - Alex Facundo R12
174 - Starocci -4
184 - Brooks 1
197 - Dean 3
285 - Kerk 2

Iowa
125 - Champ Champ Champ Champ
133 - Desanto 4
141 - Eierman 2
149 - Murin 5
157 - Young 5
165 - Bull 2
174 - Kem 1
184 - Assad 8
197 - Warner 1
285 - Cass 4

This is a team title we could run away with. Penn State needs Suriano bad. They're best bet is Nick Lee to 149 and Bartlett to man 141. Neither he or Van Ness are big enough for 149. They're screwed at 157 and 165 if both Joe Lee and Facundo are battling it out at 165. Starocci's stalling comes back to bite him and he finishes fourth behind Kem, Griffin and Mekhi. And possibly 5th if Hidlay is of size. Dean loses to Warner in the semis and Amos beats Ferrari in the semis - with Warner taking the title. Kerk gets the Penn State bump and finishes second to Gable.

Sign me up for this. Cass should be in finals if Gable is gone. Not sure about Murin still.

PSU should get Howard in again at 125. He damn near placed right? Or is he hurt or something?

Wish I had that confidence in my namesake….

Out for the year with an Injury. Gable is coming back it looks like. I've got Cass behind Gable, Kerk and Parris.

Dude, Warner isn't winning 197

He's been committed to lifting this spring summer. The loss to Ferrari lit that fire. We can all agree it's been his (in my best HR voice) largest area of opportunity. The Reenan match got him over the mental hurdle and the Ferrari loss led to a dedicated Warner in the weight room. He wins the title this year.
I wish I could buy into that scenario.

My MU colors might be shining through, but Rocky Elam needs to be in the conversation.

I hope him being in the weight room is true, but am very confused why it took him until his 4th year here to discover the importance of being strong.

A Stronger and more mentally Tuff Warner could certainly win it. Would I bet the house on it? NO! Cass would be the same IF he lifted AND Gable does not come back.

I look for a Healthy BULL to finally break through and win this thing! Eierman also did not look at 100% to me at B1g and NCAAs. I will take him over Lee.

Cass is the definition of outworking your genetics. He's just a fat kid through and through. He lifts and has been consistent since he's been on campus. His body radically changed during his 1s year.

I see Bull finishing the job as well. I'm not sure Eierman ever beats Lee again. His progression from Big Tens to NCAAs and to the Olympic Team Trials was impressive. He beat Zain and Yianni. He's jump levels in a 4 week span.

It was never an emphasis to him or his high school coach. Probably a little too much time thinking the Russians "don't lift." It's not that he hasn't been doing strength exercises. But I think he finally realized he's not a 125. Big boy weights require big boy weight. And we all could tell by his body, lifting consistently was just not his thing.

Got to get better than 8th from Assad, and I don’t see Warner winning it. But grinding to 3rd place sounds about right for him.

184 is ridiculously deep. And if Amine comes back, he's going 184. We don't need 184 at all to win, though.

Cass's dad is a big boy, but Cass has two twin brothers who were 95 & 90 lb 7th graders. I think I get what your saying, but the genetic conversation get's complicated. If I remember right Cass was smaller guy before his big growth spurt (which is why he still has a little small guy wrestling left in that big boy body). My point is, his genetics aren't anything to overcome.

So much to unpack here. First and foremost I predict the Hawks to be champs. In a close...ish battle with PSU which leaves all those idiots telling us how Cael is so much better than Tom, and we will never win the title again.

174...I don't see both Griffin and Mehki bumping up. I think Griffin is a 165er. The point difference between Kem and Starroci is going to small. I'll take Kem winning in it.
165...Bull gets beat in the finals by that schmuck from Keagan.
125...If Lee is able to wrestle he wins it all (unless Suriano comes down, I don't like a 75% Lee against Suriano), if he isn't goodbye title.
133...Coin flip between RBY, DeSanto, and Fix. I think you gotta go ADS as 3rd based off of recent history.
141...coin flip between Lee and Jayden. Anyone counting Jayden out is making a mistake. Both matches were close.
149...Murin low AA, PSU R12 guy IMO.
157....Another close one, but Young high to mid podium guy. PSU low to off the podium.
184...Assad low AA to off the podium. PSU champ. Biggest gap outside of 125 IMO. This one goes to PSU
197...who knows, this weight will be insane. 1-8 could win it. 4-12 could AA. Draws and matchups will matter, and you better have your damn A game that weekend!
HWT...coin flip. I'll take Cass to get 3rd over Kerk based off of recent results.

This is going to be a close race. It will not be decided heading into the finals I'm afraid. An Eierman vs Lee match could very well be the decider.

133 will be interesting. There is a legitimate chance that none of last years top 3 even place top 3 if Suriano, Rivera, and Micic all go. And Fix would seem the better choice than RBY or ADS if one does just because of his style.

He has a brother who wrestles 149 in college as well

Seriously? Baffling. I thought there was bad blood there. And that ASU was a forgone conclusion.

no bad blood on Carl’s part. The first time he transferred, Carl begged all summer for him to come back.

Spencer is going to be as healthy as anyone can be with no ACLs. He stil beats suriano.

I love Desanto as much as the next, but he’s a clear 4 behind RBY, Fix and Vito.

griffith is confirmed going up. As are mekhi and Hidlay.

PSU lineup as is gets blown out.

Jacob Warner can beat anybody on any given night. He has to put it all together in tournaments. I think he sometimes tries to save some juice and loses focus within a match. Probably the top 6 or 7 197lbers last year were all toss ups head to head. I thought he could be champ last year. If he has put in extra strength and conditioning work in offseason, he definitely has to be considered.

I’m curious what Spencer said about timetable for knee repair or current state of said knees?
