157 next year

Reyna doesn't have the frame IMO. Siebrecht has the length but is pretty damn thin and a bit under horsepowered at 149. Rathjen probably the best frame for it but I think he would be on the small side as well. I kinda like Rathjen as a good sized 149. Get by with one of them or get a shorter term transfer and then get Shapiro would be ideal.

Nobody on the team currently will be a full size 157. Best bet is a transfer (Mauller would be nice) then Shapiro.
Xfer unless we're just going to throw Riggins out there.

FWIW unless we get a multi-year 57 xfer we'll be having the same discussion in a year. Riggins isn't long for that weight

When was that? Are you thinking of Josh @tOSU?
Thanks for the correction. I meant to say back in Columbus...(at OSU). Dom grew up in Columbus and the family has strong ties to the Buckeyes. Although I know the family, i have no inside info on where he lands. Would not surprise me if he ended up back in Columbus.

Dom Demas just entered the portal. 149, but maybe he could add a few lbs. I'd have some advice for that if needed.
Can he transfer yet this season and wrestle? Would think it’s too late for that.

He has struggled at 149 due to being small. A 1 year stint at 141?
i think if he could still make 141, he'd stay where he is and be there right now.

he's also not that good. he had a crazy run through the backside a couple years ago and has not been the same since. we see that kind of thing all the time. he's a fringe aa candidate at 141 at his best.

Word is he can make 141 if he had the proper nutrition discipline but he doesn't. OU coach told him wrestle at your weight or not at all.

I watched him wrestle earlier this season and he looked bad and far from lean, at that time I was asking myself why is he not at 141.
He is talented and athletic with some tricks but he should be at 141 and it does seem like he has fallen from grace.

After taking 4th at ncaas, he’s been seeded 5th at nationals the past 2 years so he’s actually been quite good. 2020 got cancelled and last year he lost two overtime matches to finish in the round of 12. With those results I would expect him to AA at 41 if he gets his stuff together.
