It almost seemed like Tomasello just gave him the takedown both times. It's such a good counter takedown to slip that leg in and get the headlock for 2, Clark has done it all his career but it seems like Tomasello wasn't thinking about it

Clark has guts! I'm guessing since Gilman gave up backs to Lizak and also just gave up backs to pic who is not near as good on top as Cruz that they were concerned on bottom. Him taking neutral was not the issue. Him not being productive from neutral was the issue and falling asleep to give up his foot at the end of regulation and then falling asleep on the edge in OT.
