Well as long as Silva doesn't gas midway through the first period he should be fine then lol
Divided, I know you know who Alan Hart is and his penchant for wrestling tight matches against elite talent, but never really bonus'd. Even when he is just clearly outmatched (which hasn't happened much since his Freshmen year). For those of you that don't know, he is a State Champ from Ohio and multi-time State placer. Ranked in the top 10 at his weight as high as #8, he is committed to Missouri. Take a look at what Silva does to him, I can't remember Hart losing a match like this. I was blown away. This is when I became a hardcore Joey Silva fan. Here is the craziest part,
he was bumping up a weight class for this dual.

Oh and he was doing standing back flips before the match as a warm up. If you watch the 126 match (Kazimir match) which was of course before the Silva and Hart match, you can see Silva just casually doing standing back flips. Now, I know several wrestlers can do them, but something about doing it not on a mat, in your full warmups, and doing multiple back to back to back just screams elite athleticism. As I mentioned somewhere earlier. He has come a LONG way in a very short amount of time. This was his results just under a year ago at AAU Duals:
Joe Silva of CFWA South Florida Lightning went 8-4
126 Joe Silva (CFWA South Florida Lightning) over Braden Birt (Team Iowa Gold) TF 22-5
126 Jordan Decatur (Team Ohio Mafia) over Joe Silva (CFWA South Florida Lightning) SV1 6-4
126 Kyran Hagan (Team STL Stingers) over Joe Silva (CFWA South Florida Lightning) Dec 3-0
126 Joe Silva (CFWA South Florida Lightning) over Ryan Rasler (Children of the Corn) Fall 1:54
126 Joe Silva (CFWA South Florida Lightning) over Triston lara (Team Iowa Black) Dec 3-1
126 Joe Silva (CFWA South Florida Lightning) over Blake Glogouski (Indiana Gorillas) Dec 10-4
126 Max Murin (Young Guns Black) over Joe Silva (CFWA South Florida Lightning) Dec 5-0
126 Joe Silva (CFWA South Florida Lightning) over Caleb Holley (BRAWLERS ELITE) TF 17-1
126 Joe Silva (CFWA South Florida Lightning) over Jacob D`Ambrosio (Team Palmetto BLUE SC)
126 Joe Silva (CFWA South Florida Lightning) over Ethan Mccoy (OHIO GRAPPLERS) Fall 5:41
126 Brian Courtney (Middle Atlantic Blue) over Joe Silva (CFWA South Florida Lightning) Dec 4-3
126 Joe Silva (CFWA South Florida Lightning) over Adam Marsh (Contender Elite Black) Fall 2:40
While, not bad, it is surely rather unimpressive for what is now an elite recruit. Decatur actually bumped up a weight class from 120 just for this dual, which likely saved him from Zach Donathan who has been crushing everything since last year and is committed to a juco. His last loss in folkstyle I think was to Alan Hart Ironically enough in 2016. Since than he has won the Ironman, (beating Rentaria and Moore along the way) the Dvorak (pinned his entire way through), Senior Nationals, and some all star matches now. Yes, the same Alan Hart that looks like he is in slow motion compared to Silva in the video, and I say that as a Hart supporter. Silva is just that impressive. Its not like Hart was just having a bad weekend either. He was undefeated at the Clash other than getting major'd by Silva and beat high quality kids from Buchanan, Apple Valley, Park Hill, Foley, and Forest Lake, all but one was bonus point wins too. Silva was on another level though, straight buzzsaw.
Silva avenged his loss to Decatur at the Ironman with a big 4 point move late in the 3rd. Then he gave Lee his best match in Folkstyle I had ever seen prior to the knee injury and Desanto match. Lee won 7-4, but Silva was lighting on his feet getting in deep on Lee multiple times. How Lee fought those leg attacks off is amazing to me, just sensational hips.
Just a meteoric rise in skill level. The athleticism was obviously always there.
