Clingan isn't considering Iowa anymore. Let's try and keep the discussion to those with interest in Iowa.

Yep. I have that noted in the original post, where under Donovan's profile I have that his final 8 schools (as of May 28, 2021) are Syracuse, UConn, Michigan, Ohio State, Rutgers, Georgetown, Providence, Notre Dame.

But that clearly wasn't the point of my post, which was, of course, about the 3 Gatorade Players of the Year who Iowa has offered. Iowa was in early on Clingan; Fran offered on April 9, 2020; Iowa simply did not make his final 8.

But you know all of that.

I know it's difficult for you, but why don't you try not being such a trolling dump ass moving forward?

You're cluttering the thread with posts about a prospect that has cut Iowa from consideration. Not everyone is going to go back to the first post of a 17+ page thread.

Also, what is a dump ass?

Hey, trolling, hypocritical dumb ass.

Did you notice that the post also discussed Gatorade Player of the Year Kyle Filipowski, who Iowa offered June 18, 2020? Iowa is still in consideration.

So, STFU.

Posting about those 2 guys is on topic with a '22 Iowa basketball recruiting thread so that fits here.

Go to the Michigan or Ohio State board if you want to talk about Clingan.

Thanks in advance.

Quit cluttering up this thread and go to the Kansas board if you want to talk about Ernest Udeh, a kid Kansas has offered but Iowa hasn't.

Thanks in advance.

Thats a kid that Iowa is showing interest in and may end up getting an offer so it fits here.

You are cluttering up the thread with a post about a prospect that is no longer considering Iowa.

I'm just trying to look out for the posters that come here looking for information on Iowa basketball recruiting. Iowa has been out on Clingan for almost 6 weeks. Let's do the people that read these boards a favor and try and stay on topic, as hard as that is for you to do sometimes.

Jeezus, just STFU. Unless you've been appointed board moderator, get off Fran's ass. Most of us appreciate his posts, and if you're so concerned with clutter, quit inundating these threads with your incessant whining and bitching.

Thanks in advance.

If Fran didn't try to moderate my post early this AM then I would have just left his alone. He can't be a little bitch to others and not expect it to be given back to him.

Thanks for your concern though.

Iowa offered Kyle Filipowski on June 18, 2020.

Here is an Interesting perspective on his recruitment. Hope the author is wrong where he places Iowa.

Some excerpts:

NCAA Basketball Recruiting: Ranking 11 contenders for 2022 F Kyle Filipowski

There isn’t an official list of contenders yet but there’s a good chance that one of them will eventually land Filipowski. There’s a lot left to be decided in this recruitment but some of these programs are currently standing out more than others. Here’s how I would rank each option.

1. Duke--Will Official Visit June 28-29
2. Ohio State--Will Official Visit June 12-13
3. UConn--Will Unofficial Visit June 24
4. Syracuse (Officially Visited weekend of June 4-6)
5. Indiana--Will Official Visit June 15-16
6. Notre Dame

7. IOWA--Will Official Visit June 17-18

This is an intriguing option, as Filipowski fits the kinds of stretch forwards that head coach Fran McCaffery has worked with in the past, including star forward Aaron White and the most recent National Player of the Year Award winner Luka Garza. The offense would fit the four-star prospect very well and with grad transfer Filip Rebrača set to leave after next season, could seemingly start as well.

The only concern I’d have here with Iowa is that once Joe Wieskamp and Jordan Bohannon depart after next year, the team will take a potential nosedive in the Big Ten ladder. That doesn’t even include losing forward Keegan Murray if he has a breakout campaign in 2021-22. This would be a scenario where the prospect would have to wait and see how the roster works out, or else he could be left with playing with a roster full of McCaffery’s.

8. UCLA
9. Rutgers
10. Northwestern--Will Unofficial Visit June 19
11. Wake Forest

The FULL Story:

You two need to get a room then.

I don't hook up with dumb ass women. ;)

And the recruiting news the douche shared this morning? It was about a guy who (1) Iowa has not even offered; and (2) Kansas just offered.

Sure, Iowa has talked to this prospect, but that has already been established & discussed. Iowa talks to a lot of prospects and that has resulted in 29 total offers to date. So, his post about a Kansas offer on an Iowa board made no sense. If Iowa had offered and if that had been the news, that would be a totally different story.

I wouldn't put much stock in this author's opinion. He clearly doesn't know what he's talking about when it comes to Iowa.

Garza was a center, not stretch forward. White wasn't a "stretch" forward either.

He seems to be the only person left that has Weezy returning.

And the nepotism jab is incredibly lazy reporting at best. Patrick will be the only McCaffery on the roster by the time Flip would arrive. And Patrick will end up going down as a good player at Iowa. Just because he's the coach's son doesn't mean he can't play

Or he could just stop being a douche when other posters share recruiting news. That doesn't seem that hard.
It is exchanges like these that make this board difficult to navigate. Mods should edit the thread and delete the dribble. If they don't they will eventually lose all their customers.
Fun plllow fight between Fran and Triangle.

Is that different than posting about a player who has eliminated Iowa from his list? I was going to go all caps as well. He isn't wrong on that subject. Fran I love your work and how you keep us updated but your panties seem to get in a bunch fairly easy.

Iowa offered Ahjany Lee on August 3, 2020.

Iowa was the 1st School to offer him a scholarship.

Will new Minny Head Coach Ben Johnson be able to keep this Minnesota kid home?

Ahjany is visiting Minny today.

Check these out & Watch:

Odd, because I swear he was just griping about you posting about prospects not relevant to Iowa.

You two need to stop for real. I'm not the only one on here complaining. It's every day, every thread.

Triangle, stop provoking Franman. Yes, he's making himself an easy target to mess with by responding to every little thing you say. He does provide the board with a lot of info that interests a lot of people. Yes, his style can be over the top at times. If you have an opinion that differs with Fran's, that's fine. Post it, and leave it at that. Don't promote the back and forth.

Franman, if Triangle is a troll, then stop feeding him. We can all read. You don't need to defend yourself by restating the same thing multiple times within a thread. Others have offered you this same "advice". Not everyone has to agree with you. I'm sure you have noticed a few others that would seem to be on Triangle's side of this war. That means that you too have played a part in creating all of this nonsense. Post your piece and leave it at that.

This has been going on for weeks and this board is complete trash right now because if it. Neither of you is concerned about "cluttering" the board. If you were you wouldn't clutter it by posting how the other is cluttering it. Triangle seems concerned with provoking and Franman is concerned with defending himself.

JUST STOP THE CYCLE already. One or both of you. PLEASE!!!

I was going to make a comment about deleting “the dribble,” but I guess this is a basketball thread after all…

(sorry, couldn’t resist)

Bowen would be a great start to the class. Would love if they could bring in one more highly ranked player like a Nickel or Filipowski.

Sorry, but Obtuse Triangle is a troll who enjoys taking dumps in threads that I start.

For example, I started a thread on the Dasonte Bowen official visit and he posts that the title was misleading. Well, guess what? I was spot on and the official visit has already happened.

And this morning he took another dump in this thread. He posts about a guy who has not been offered by Iowa, yet who has been offered by Kansas. Again, who gives a fook about who Kansas offers, yet that clown is posting about it.

And I disagree with you. Here is that ONE post that the troll Obtuse Triangle took a dump on. That ONE POST discusses that Iowa has offered ALL 3. It discusses how Fran got in VERY EARLY on 2 of them. It discusses how all 3 are all Gatorade Players of the Year (Fran knows talent). This is all relevant information. Iowa is still in on 2 of the 3.

That post, again:

As we know, Fran knows talent and recognizes it early.

I don't care who Kansas offers, especially when Iowa has not offered. Do you? Who Kansas offers does not seem relevant on an Iowa board.

I honestly think the 3 currently available scholarships go to

PG Dasonte Bowen
SG Josh Dix
Forward or Center: To be determined, but lots of options

I addressed your post. Keep on topic please. 2 of 3 is the key point. Your post would have been far more relevant if you just stuck to the 2. There are a ton of programs that offer top players early.

It was on topic. It was ONE POST discussing:

* A JUNE 7 tweet about Gatorade Players of the Year.

* Iowa offered 3 of the 6 in that tweet who were named Gatorade Players of the Year. 2 are still considering Iowa. The 3rd (Clingan) did not include Iowa in his RECENT (May 28, 2021) final 8 schools. Big fooking deal that I reminded people of that, because guess what, I bet some were unaware.

But, hey, I guess you like the drama. Oh, and sorry that I was unable to erase the faces and names of the other 4 players in that tweet (sarcasm).

2 still are…… the 3rd isn’t. Keep bringing it up though.
