2022 Recruiting (1 Scholarship Left): Jaxon Kohler & Josh Dix VISITED Sep3, Tyler Nickel Sep17. Aidan Shaw VISITED Jun23. Kyle Filipowski to Duke

What are you talking about? I'm not predicting Shaw to Iowa, I'm asking why you're a miserable ass?
Because when it comes to basketball recruiting, and players with high floors the moment they step on campus (aka with a ton of high major offers), Fran is not often the victor.

Why follow recruiting at all?

It was simply a free article that updated his finalists down to 5.
Cuz I'm told year after year after year that Fran will get some of those top 50 types "just wait until XYZ." We just saw Garza get more airtime the past two seasons than any other player out there, and "they finally got that high NCAA seed" so I'm sticking around to see just when the Z will happen.

So it's definitely going to be Missouri then. Next!

Would be interesting to pick a blue blood or 2. And list their offer/commits and those signed elsewhere to see how it compares

Kid committed to...University of St. Thomas? They just became Division I???

On July 1 the University of St Thomas Tommies became the first school in the modern era to jump from Division III to Division I.

They are now members of the Summit League, Pioneer League in football, the Central Collegiate Hockey Association and the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.

The University of St Thomas is in St Paul Minnesota.

Local connection for him. Family attendance a factor in his decision? Definitely a lower level of competition in D-1

Reminder: Michigan State did not offer Jaxon Kohler until Sep 1. Jaxon immediately set up an official visit to East Lansing for Sep 10.

This guy is the founder of Spartan Hoops. There were lots of MSU alumni in town.

Check this out & Watch:

As I said yesterday, it looks like Jaxon Kohler's visit to Michigan State went too well.

Today, Brandon Champion of M Live tweeted out the fact that there were tons of Michigan State alumni in town during Jaxon's visit and that it looks like it may have paid off for Michigan State.

61% of fans say Iowa

So these guys all seem to be out of the picture.

Any idea who we might target with the last spot? Sounds like we are going to end up with another project player

I bet you love the game of golf. Most shots do not go in the hole. What a bunch of losers!
Just found out about Kohler, eh old buddy? It'll be ok. We already have articles about 4 star recruits in 2023 talking positive about Iowa that will cheer you up, and for sure keep the rah rah optimism going!

Yea actually, golf, pre-kids, was my favorite sport to play. I was an above average driver, great at approach shots, and then just slightly above average on putting. What happened early in a hole or round never mattered to me, it was always about the final score. ;)

Are we pretty sure that Shaw is going to Missouri?

If Shaw and Kohler commit elsewhere, I wouldn't be surprised if it's just a two person class. Have to remember Mulvey was in this class originally, so I don't see them offering another big guy unless they really like him.

On a side note, Mulvey looks to have bulked up a bit. He posted a picture on twitter.

So off the top of my head(I’m not going back to check), players we offered went to
2-Duke
3- UNC
2- UCONN
2- ISU
1- Mich
And I think location wise may have something to do with at least some of the choices

I have not heard of any other official visits coming up.

As far as who we might target? When you remove Jaxon Kohler, Aidan Shaw, and Tyler Nickel, there are 4 bigs left who Iowa offered and are still undecided.

The 4 Bigs IOWA Offered, Still Undecided:

Dominick Barlow (Offered Aug 12, 2021)
SF, 6'8", 205, Dumont, NJ

Braden Huff (Offered July 25, 2021)
PF, 6'9", 200, Glen Ellyn, IL

Prince Aligbe (Offered April 5, 2019)

Tyler Nickel commits to UNC.

Big loss for Virginia Tech to lose an in state kid.

UNC's 2022 class is ranked #1 by many rating services.

Travis Walton & the rape cover ups have been hanging over Tom Izzo's head for OVER 3 years now.

I wish Jaxson Kohler's mom would have looked into this.

Sorry, @KLucas1 , but only the Michigan State AD suffered any consequences when it came to the disgusting things that happened in the MSU basketball program under Izzo's watch.
