2022 Recruiting (1 Scholarship Left): Jaxon Kohler & Josh Dix VISITED Sep3, Tyler Nickel Sep17. Aidan Shaw VISITED Jun23. Kyle Filipowski to Duke

Looks like North Carolina may have some players that declare for the portal. Maybe we will pick up one of them this spring.
And who precisely would that be? Because it kind of sounds like you're talking out of your ass. Tyler Nickel is more likely to redshirt at UNC than run any upperclassmen off.

Wondered how long it would take to get into Canada. Probably missing someone we had or were in on before but I like it anyway

All things considered, I would rather have a combo forward like PMac or the Murrays than a traditional post, especially with Mulvey and Ogundele still with quite a few years ahead of them.

I am looking forward to learning more about the Buzelis and Hunger games.

That article that claims Kohler is as good as signed as a Spartan is from a Spartan blog. It may be true, but until I see that Jaxson has declared, I'm not giving up on him.

Yesterday (Sep 15), 3 Rivals Publishers/Analysts (Jamie Shaw, Noah Sprunger, 0hioSpartan) forecasted Jaxon Kohler to Michigan State.

Also, as @SSG T noted above, yesterday Fran was on the East Coast watching Luke Hunger.

Izzo was on the West Coast watching Jaxon Kohler.

Hunger is growing on me. His videos chanel a younger Garza. I think he could lose 15-20#. I worry about another slow-footed big we would have to cover up on defense.

Those 15-20# could be reapplied to Buzelis. I’m seeing him listed as a ‘22 or ‘23 recruit.

I am talking about all of their new recruits getting playing time. I believe these recruits will be expecting to get playing time and I don't recall the NC team doing real well this past year. There maybe a number of good players from multiple teams that lose some playing time and feel like they can do better at another school. So I am saying there will be good players available in the portal.

I can't believe the trouble we are having attracting any of McCaffery's prime big targets. We had the premier post oriented offense in the country the past two seasons with the NPOY and none of the bigs that franisdaman posted that we were pursuing decided to cast their lot with us.

Cue up the: basketball recruiting is dirty and Fran won't do that, crowd..... which always begs the question, if Fran is in on a prospect but then they go to a "dirty" school instead, was the moral evaluation the best to begin with?

It is just absolutely amazing how Luka being on TV every other minute the last 2 years has resulted in.....more under the radar post prospects, but, here we are.

I think with front line players...when a player looks at our roster and visits they see a roster loaded with similar size and talent.....they may like our program a lot but, when another program is similar and they see a path of less resistance that makes it tough. Is that the only reason we aren't landing these guys? No...but it is a consideration. These guys want to play and play right away. I get that.

Certainly a part of it, but that's also odd to me with the higher rated guys as nearly all of them have the belief/confidence that they will be getting major minutes no matter what.

Kohler for example, I imagine he'd think he'd get plenty of minutes. In the case of the new kid, Hunger, I could definitely see him falling into this category though.

It sounds like Fran still has a Hunger for a big in this year's class.

Of the guys on this list, it looks like only Kohler has visited Iowa, according to Rivals. Kohler, of course, is rumored to be a heavy Sparty lean.

If we add any recruits to the 2022 class, I'm guessing it will be someone who is yet to be offered.
