Pretty cool moment for the Huskers last night in their win over Kansas State. Pitcher Jackson Brockett threw the first individual 9-inning no-hitter since 1954.......which was also just the second such time the feat has ever been accomplished in program history.

Brockett recorded 12 strikeouts on 107 pitches.

some said in the preseason that Iowa had a shot at the College World Series.

Wow......Iowa baseball with the rare winning streak as they hammer the Cats 9-2. Brody Brecht goes 8 innings giving up 2 hits and a run, while striking out 13.

Hawks sweep the Mildcats with a 6-5 win today.

They're back in action Friday against Illinois.

They are RPI 102 as of now...it's win the Big Ten Tournament or bust for a regional. Question is, save Brody for Game 2 or throw him Game 1 to get to Game 2 and then not have him until Championship Sunday if you make it.

Or, pitching by committee for Game 1 and a pitch count so you save that arm until Sunday. Lots of ways to go.

Hawks take 2 of 3 from Florida International, winning 15-2 yesterday and 16-4 today to close out the regular season.

Iowa finished the 2024 regular season at 31-21 overall, 14-10 in conference play.

They went 22-5 at home and just 7-12 on the road.

Next up is all or nothing at the Big Ten Tournament for the Hawks.
