Well, Iowa played poorly and the game was still competitive. I'm not sure if it was Iowa playing poorly or if Indiana's defense had something to do with it but they can't play like this against the best teams. Oh well, we'll get em when they come to Iowa City.

She finally played someone who could keep her off the low block.
Maybe the refs will call all the pushing in the back in Iowa City that she got away with in Bloomington.............................

Jk, they won't do sh**, as usual

10 of the FTs were Hannah. Not her strength tho she’s done better. Big difference when Monika isn’t the one taking them…
Lousy shooting night, needed someone to have a hot hand.Scared to shoot threes. You could tell they had no confidence.

Indiana tweet nice - f them lol:

-Take down NPOY front-runner Caitlin Clark....

Then you have Caitlin all class, "I thought that crowd was tremendous tonight. I think it's good for women's basketball." Adds that they see those types of crowds in Iowa City and it's not something they were flustered by. "I'm happy for Indiana, they deserve it, they're a great team."

Home court a big advantage tonight. Hannah looked nervous at the line. Monica simply can't stay out of foul trouble. Clark was frustrated despite having another 30 pt night and I thought Warnock got hot too late. Indiana has a great team but I'm confident we'll get them at Carver.

well, if the rest of the team would of showed Iowa would be going home with a W. Four starters were no-shows.

The return game was already sold out last week. It's going to be loud, and Indiana's hope of winning the Big Ten will be dashed when they lose to Iowa.

What's with calling so many of the supporting cast no-shows? They played hard, did what was asked of them, and everyone who saw the floor had good moments. Indiana is a GOOD team who scouted us very well.

I thought we never really got into the flow of our offense tonight and we *still* were tied a few possessions into the fourth quarter. Clean up a few things and I don't hate our chances in the rematch.

Yeah, most of Indiana's supporting cast was in foul trouble, so I don't think comparing supporting cast performance does much good. We didn't play close to our best and the game was still very close in a hostile environment. Losing stings, but these two teams are very close in talent.

With all due respect. We have Clark, but I'm not sure we're that close overall in talent. Ask yourself. if Clark had missed a good part of the year where would Iowa be? Berger was outstanding and she missed a bunch of games with that knee injury, and yet their still ranked 2nd. Last year Holmes was injured and missed a bunch of games and wasn't healthy when we played them, and yet they were top 5 almost all year.

So with this loss, if we want to win the conference title again are we going to need to win out?

And get help. A game-and-a-half behind Hoosiers now, and get them in IC later on, but they'll have to lose at some point and then we'd get a tie with them.

Maryland is still in it too.

For Iowa to win outright, they would need to win out including at Maryland and here with Indiana. In addition, Ohio State would have to beat both Indiana and Maryland at Ohio State. Not impossible but a lot of ifs.

Iowa can still get a co-championship with Indiana and possibly Maryland. They would still have to win out most likely.

Bottom line, Iowa really needed the win last night, but there is still a lot to play for. A repeat conference championship would be nice, but they can assure themselves of a double bye in the BTT and a top four seed in the NCAA's.

The next three games are against sub-.500 teams. They should win those with ease, then get ready for the big finishing stretch at Maryland and here against Indiana.

No, they've just played an extra game in conference. If we win out and beat Indiana the last game of the year the worst we could do is split with them. We don't need them to lose an extra game.

I think Indiana's 2-5 is much better than Iowa's, but Clark makes the two teams 1-5 fairly equal in talent. Our #2 was basically MIA last night and the game was still tied in the 4th with Holmes and Berger playing well.

I haven't watched the game yet. Was McKenna at 100% last night? In her last two games back she didn't appear to be anywhere near 100%. And going by the box score and reading this thread I would say Monika is still using her hands when she should be moving her feet.
