A question for all of our military veteran friends out there.

Clinton avoided the draft but eventually went through the selection process and received a high number. He probably wouldn't have been drafted anyway but his "name" was in the bucket.

And I don't ever recall him disrespecting veterans, medal of honor, receiving a purple heart, etc.

It's just their rationalization for being a piece of shit human by voting for a bigger piece of shit human

Thought this was going to be about USAA since I see so many commercials with Gronk in them and if veterans on here have it. Leaving thread disappointed.

Does it bother you that Donald Trump 1. Dodged the draft with the age-old "bonespurs" medical excuse that his Daddy arranged? 2. Called our brave service members in Europe "losers and suckers"? As a veteran, I'm interested in your thoughts on these things he did. Thanks.

75% of veterans support Trump. You are in the minority.

75%? LOL.

Here's one from the last election.

I'm not a Trump fan but I honestly don't believe he made the "suckers and losers" comment.

There's a good dozen or so people that were there that have denied this.

With that being said, my dad was in Vietnam, my uncle as well. I have a long history of family members that have served.

I have little to no respect for draft dodgers.

If he wasn't the type of person that would say it, then you'd maybe have a point....but he has a history of such comments, so it's high probability it's true.

Oh he said it. I'd believe his chief of staff, who had no dog in the fight, vs the guy who said it, whose one identifiable characteristic amongst everyone is that he is a continual liar.

Zach Fuentes, former deputy to Chief of Staff Gen. John Kelly: “I did not hear POTUS call anyone losers when I told him about the weather. Honestly, do you think General Kelly would have stood by and let ANYONE call fallen Marines losers?”

Dan Scavino, White House deputy chief of staff for communications: “I was with POTUS in France, with Sarah, and have been at his side throughout it all. Complete lies by ‘anonymous sources’ that were ‘dropped’ just as he begins to campaign (and surge). A disgraceful attempt to smear POTUS, 60 days before the Presidential Election! Disgusting!!”

Dan Walsh, former White House deputy chief of staff: “I can attest to the fact that there was a bad weather call in France, and that the helicopters were unable to safely make the flight.”

Mick Mulvaney, former acting White House chief of staff: “These claims are simply outrageous. I never heard the President disparage our war dead or wounded. In fact, the exact opposite is true. I was with him at the 75th Anniversary of the D-Day invasion in Normandy. As we flew over the beaches by helicopter he was outwardly in awe of the accomplishments of the Allied Forces, and the sacrifices they paid.”

Tony Ornato, former deputy White House chief of staff, denied the report.

There's more.

Once again, I'm no Trump fan.

A couple of his lemming people saying they didn't hear anything. So what. His chief of staff heard him utter those despicable words. I didn't hear the Gettysburg address, but I can pretty much tell you it was said. People not hearing something means nothing. People actually hearing something is what you should actually be paying attention to.

You are choosing to believe 1 person vs 12 based on the fact that you hate the person who supposedly made the comment.

I don’t hate or like the man so I’m more open minded.

Based on the fact someone NOT hearing something means nothing. They didnt hear him say something.. or so they say. People hearing something means they heard it. If a tree falls in the woods. A person hears it, but 10 people don't, did it still fall? I could care less what people didn't hear. I care what people do hear. Losers and suckers... sad. Read The Atlantic article. Losers and suckers, failing to visit a cemetary full of deceased US soldiers because it was raining and he was afraid to get his hair wet. So disgraceful. So shameful.
