Another ridiculous decision

Kim passing up the money does nothing to help this. It is already allocated money. It is absolutely foolish to not take the money to help families and for pure stimulus in our state. I am pretty confident TB would have been smart enough to take it.

The state would have to use some of its own money.

Exactly, get rid of the Wand Trump tax cuts, which accounted for a 1/3rd of that
Oops...my bad. I meant CUT taxes. We know that cutting taxes generates even MORE revenue. After all the tax cuts enacted by W through Trump...we're ONLY $34T in debt. Imagine where we would be if they raised taxes like Clinton and actually balanced the budget!! Horrors!!

Years ago I remember Neal Smith telling some locals in the back of dad’s store that “the budget is cast/ money spent….his job as a Congressman was to get as much of that $$ spent in his district….Kim must not have been present then.

The admin costs would represent less than .01% of the surplus or less than the cost of Kim's political stunt sending state police to the Texas border.
Clearly pillen was not auditioning for a spot on desantis ticket when he reversed course. Hey Kim..desantis is a loser..like you.

Kids should totally pay for their parents' mistakes and shortcomings. Food isn't for everyone.
Especially if Mom and Dad grew up never learning about or understanding the concept of responsibility.
Can’t feed an innocent human - then don’t make one.

Nothing like closing the barn door after the horse is gone….
I guess letting the kid starve to death would end this cycle of irresponsibility, right? I think Christ would endorse the idea wholeheartedly…

If only it was that easy. Birth control fails. Spouses die. Accidents happen. I suppose starving some kids is one way to teach responsibility.
It is easy. Wear a raincoat dudes. Get on the pill girls. Pull out and pray if all else is not available.
Spouse? The majority in some communities are not married.
If the spouse dad does die the child gets SSI until they’re 18 and Mom can get SNAP benefits even if she’s a single parent. School breakfast and lunch is free.
If you bring a human into the world it’s on you to be responsible for that tiny person who definitely did not get a say in the matter.
Surely all you sophisticates who aren’t bots know all of this, right? Or are you such knee jerk leftists you’ve got to argue just to argue?

I hear Neuriva works better for some than Prevagen.
Keep at it though and you’ll get someone to argue with you.

What world are you living in?

Not surprised that your view is "tough luck kid" for those born into poverty or circumstance that causes them to go hungry. Typical of the MAGA crowd.

I love the fact that she is lowering taxes and not just blindly throwing our money at random issues and poorly run government handouts. Maybe someone should talk to theses parents about personal responsibility when you have children.

Put your money where your mouth is, just leave my money alone, I practiced responsibility.

So the government can provide SSI and SNAP but not food to poor kids who aren’t in school over the summer??!! I’m just not even a little bit surprised that’s your take on this.

There are summer programs where the kids are given lunch. At least in my locale.
And surely you recall when schools were closed for Covid there were emergency programs in almost all school districts nationwide where parents could pick up a packaged lunch in a drive thru setup at no charge. Some school communities even gave lunches to parents.

BTW benefits like SSI and food stamps go year round and are not tied to the school calendar.

Tell me something…I’m curious…is there ever a point where a parent is responsible for feeding their own child?
