I make 75percent of the time, but had some stuff I needed to do today for tomorrow
I'm living, you are waiting to die. I'm 63.We'll see, brother. We're all waiting to die at this point.
How old are you?
I'm living, you are waiting to die. I'm 63.
I think it’s pretty obvious that people aren’t going to church anymore.
People in America have lost their minds and have no respect for anyone but themselves.
Violence increasing - church-goes degreasing
Possibly a correlation, I think so.
No better example of how religion brings peace than what’s happening in Israel today.
God brings peace. No better example of how religion brings peace than what’s happening in Israel today.
Hey it was the 2,525 Sunday in a row I missed it!! I'm all kinds of bummed aht about it!For the, I don't know, 1669th consecutive Sunday, I decided to forego church.
Was a great decision, as always.

How is a thread about a topic 80% of the country doesn't care about make it 5 pages is the only thing I'm surprised about here.
Were you baptized?
Did/do your parents go?
There are millions of books on thousands of topics in the world. You're right on that.I think most people at least sometimes wonder if God exists, what's the meaning of life, what happens after we die, etc.?
There are literally libraries full of books on these deep topics.
I've been thinking/studying it for almost 20 years now.

And I'd say the fact that so few people go to church saying most people wonder if god exists is a stretch. Seems to me some people wonder if a god exists. At least from my experience.
I will say, the old lady likes to call out his name from time to time though!
Honestly I have never thought about it. Lights probably go out I'm guessing. What do you think will happen when we die?
Personally, I'm atheist/agnostic/whatever, but I think consciousness is an emergent property of the universe rather than simply neural activity. What do you think will happen when we die?

There's a sense of spirituality there despite no belief in an enduring essence/soul.
The US Church has very little to do with having a relationship with God through Jesus. US churches are full of nepotism, corruption, and abuse. One should read what Jesus thought about the established religion in the land of Israel. Doesn't take brilliance to understand why those familiar with the US church in general what nothing to do with Christianity.
The previous poster heard what he said from someone else and blindly believed them, rather than reading the Bible.Jesus said we should go to Church. He established one. He said we need the Eucharist. He said we need to be baptized.
All that is Biblical. I've mentioned it in other posts here.

Case in point @BrianNole777No need for a bible, a talmud, etc.
Just be the best version of yourself. Go on your own out to the wilderness. Become one with nature. Find your inner peace. Much more important than reading a hateful old testament
I was just pointing out another self proclaimed know-it-allYou need Brian to back you up?
Be your own man janitor
I was just pointing out another self proclaimed know-it-all
Some are and some are pretenders.I was just pointing out another self proclaimed know-it-all
Nah, but I will take your wife.I don't know jack shite. The more you learn, the more you learn how little you know.
Take that to bed with you tonight.
Good luck with thatNah, but I will take your wife.
Will I need a puke bag?
This is a very common sentiment, especially in the west.No need for a bible, a talmud, etc.

There are some well established theological arguments against this line of thinking. No need to go down that route.
Instead, I would ask you to define “best version.” What standard do you use to measure “best” against?
What happens when other people follow your advice but are left free to define “best version” in their own way? Do you see how that can quickly become problematic?
He said not to forsake gathering with believers which then little resembled the filth, greed and abuse at US churches. I thought you ghosted me!?Jesus said we should go to Church. He established one. He said we need the Eucharist. He said we need to be baptized.

That is my point. I'm talking about greedy leaders. The US church as traditionally seen in US is dead. I actually first became aware of this going to church in Ukraine. You could tell the real ones v those run by US.The Church is a hospital for sinners...not a museum for saints.
