I don't believe he makes itPatrick is just over 900 points in his 5 years at Iowa, my guess is that Fran is wanting him to at least reach 1000 points for his career before he hangs up his sneakers

so will Fran (hope) He and Margaret were out embarrassing themselves again last night at Xavier.Disagree about Krikke,.. Payton makes a lot of unforced errors, Pat will be moving on soon.
Actually have a point guard. You listening, Fran?Actually have a lineup in that makes sense.
well what did they do?so will Fran (hope) He and Margaret were out embarrassing themselves again last night at Xavier.
Sorry but they look so much tougher without Patrick.
Sad and mean to root for but unfortunately true because of Dad’s BS playing him way more than deserved.Hopefully Patrick is out the rest of the season.
The only reason I watched today is because I heard he wasn't playing.Sorry but they look so much tougher without Patrick.
Granted, Rutgers is not a great team but Iowa looked so much better today without PMac.The only reason I watched today is because I heard he wasn't playing.
Well op is half right. Krikke still needs to play a lot.
19 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists today for Krikke.
Heard the B1G showroom guys say Krikke was +28 today. Might have misheard that, but if true that's pretty incredible in a 9 point win. We’re clearly not better off without Krikke. He’s our most efficient offensive player. And yes, he’s not good on defense. PMac? Yes.
And the thing is, I think Patrick is well aware of this. I think mentally he is done with Iowa basketball, and the only reason he hasn't up and quit is because he doesn't want to upset his family. He is basically doing time at this point, and I'm guessing that he can't wait for this season to be over so he can finally move on from Iowa basketball.Sorry but they look so much tougher without Patrick.
Addition by subtraction with no pmac.Sorry but they look so much tougher without Patrick.
They said Rutgers has the #1 defense in the Big 10Granted, Rutgers is not a great team but Iowa looked so much better today without PMac.

Game announcers throw that in every season, but honestly id Utoff can't hang in the league there's no way Pmac is getting paid. I still wonder if A White had stuck around in the G league if he'd have made his way in. He's become a really good Euro player. I could see him being a decent reserve in the league.Yeah, there was still a few people saying Pat was a pro prospect last year if you can believe it.
Expectations have always been out of whack with him. He was somehow a 4* prospect which is amazing for someone who really doesn't do anything well besides cherry picking.
what he has done for 3 years. play him anyway.Iowa is objectively better without Patrick. What will Fran do?
I think the d league had some pretty crappy contracts when white graduated and they made some increases in minimum and guarantees since then. Seems more common today for players to stay in states.Game announcers throw that in every season, but honestly id Utoff can't hang in the league there's no way Pmac is getting paid. I do this manually. My dataset comes from the following games: Creighton, Arkansas State, Seton Hall, Oklahoma, North Florida, Purdue, Iowa State, Michigan and Wisconsin. I watch the games with an Excel spreadsheet open and track what happens each possession. I measure the points scored and points allowed every possession when each player is in the game and then compare with what happens when that player is out of the game. In those games, we score 1.18 points per possession with Pat and 0.96 points per possession without Pat. We allow 1.18 points per possession with Pat and 1.09 points per possession without Pat. So the defense is significantly worse when he's in the game (+0.09 PPP) but that is offset by the offense being dramatically better with him in the game (+0.22 PPP).Is there any way to track the games without Patrick and our offensive and defensive ratings? The eye test is already significant
Yep, that’s what they said.Vs Iowa with the number one offense. Iowa hit their average today of 86.7 ppg.
Bowen should 100% be doing what he's doing--keep driving. As he gets stronger those drives will turn into fouls. He gets a pass because I'm also 100% positive that's what Fran wants to see.Rutgers is the worst team in the conference and we still gave up almost 80 points to them without PMac. Bowen only wants to drive into trees and attempt impossible layups, but gets a pass why? Pmac should get 10 minutes and do nothing but pass or shoot as soon as he catches the ball. No dribbling, just cut cut cut and try to get an open dunk or 3.
Hopefully today has swayed Fran. Dix went 7/4/4 in 26 minutes and played great on-ball defense all game.what he has done for 3 years. play him anyway.
ITake those two out of the equation and this team might get an NIT bid.
Neither one has any business in the bigten.
He was plus 19 today in the first half. Playing against a really good player. We’re clearly not better off without Krikke. He’s our most efficient offensive player. And yes, he’s not good on defense. PMac? Yes.
There has to be a game or two skewing thoseI do this manually. Edited to add that these numbers bounce around a lot from game to game so I'll continue to update this as the season goes along.
That is different from my system. I drink more when Im angry. When Patrick is in the game I average 6.5 beers per half. When he is not playing I average 1.5 beers.I do this manually. During the stretch of Creighton, Arkansas State, Oklahoma, Seton Hall and North Florida, our offense was 0.15 points per possession better with Patrick on the floor (while the defense was 0.02PPP worse). When the Purdue, Iowa State and Michigan games were added that turned into 0.16PPP better on offense and 0.05PPP worse on defense. When Wisconsin is added, it was 0.22PPP better on offense and 0.09PPP worse on defense. These numbers do bounce around quite a bit from game to game. But the offensive improvement with him on the floor is really striking and it's been there for a while now. There has to be a game or two skewing those
