When I first saw him I thought "WTF is this guy on for"? Little did I know that Billy knows wrestling.....and he knows it very well. I would like BTN to pick him up for wrestling coverage.

He Wrestled at Binghamton. Several years ago Binghamton cut its wrestling program. Billy lead a highly successful funding drive to get it re installed. He is truly one of the good guys supporting the sport.

Billy was one of the most visible Americans in the battle to save Olympic wrestling.

I know Shawn kenney, the announcer that has worked for espn and does some of the wrestling coverage. He told me last year they were doing the Saturday morning session and they were supposed to have Baldwin on real quick in between matches just as a celebrity who is into wrestling. He said Baldwin just stayed and offered analysis for the entire session and seemed like he knew his stuff. Espn must have liked it and invited him back obviously.

ESPN is wise to include Baldwin in their wrestling broadcasts. He has crossover appeal to more casual fans and his background as a college wrestler obviously gives him the necessary expertise to provide good commentary. Plus, his passion for the sport is clear. It's a no-brainer. Good for ESPN to include him.
