OP, I feel ya. I hope not, but feel we could have our own Japan’s Lost Decade. It’s happened to more storied programs (eg., Michigan), so it could definitely happen to us. Kirk, historically (as evidenced by the discussion of Gallery et al in this thread) and currently, is brilliant with retention for the most part, but recruitment hurts big time.
Unfortunately, that will be the accelerator in our current trajectory. And while everyone worries about the fOSUs of the world, they are missing that competition is getting stiff for key talent, otherwise we wouldn’t be lamenting the current acquisition situation. Man, I hope I’m wrong, and it can be fixed, but it is a Herculean task. It’s going to take the entire leadership of the organization to make it happen.
