the interesting part of all of that Hor$e$hit broadcast was the FACT that Carl was paying recruits EXTREMELY WELL to come to Pstate during his early years. He brought Long with him and all of his baggage He had his Iowa State recruiting class as well but he and Ira Lubert developed a payout system that was dancing in and out of the NCAA boundaries for years BEFORE NIL was put in place to legally get away with signing all of these recruits away from traditional powerhouse schools. But now admittedly PSU has been uber successful and recruits definitely want to go to find success but I think it will be slowing down now with NIL used to level the playing field for most of the big schools.

I think the opposite Bo was going to go to Iowa always, but put on a unique recruiting platform to get the most NIL out of his insane wrestling. So I think Iowa over paid for a recuit that was in the bag from day one. Good for him...

I’m sorry. Not my intent. A reputable reporter saying a wrestler got a $5 million NIL deal (spread over 4-5 years) is noteworthy for message board discussion. I feel like I mentioned it here and then left it alone. I understand the skepticism; I was too. Perhaps still am.
I don’t know. But I think having good NIL money is a good thing for any program. If Iowa has more, then I’m worried for PSU and jealous.

If you spend any time looking over the majority of the responses, they are acting like PSU is above it all and doesn't have to spend money to get their athletes. Almost like it never was a thing for them. Iowa is just the evil empire infringing on their rights to have it all. Are there a sampling of fair and congratulatory type posts - yes. But for the most part it - entitled brats getting dunked on for once and acting like little bitches.
