She passed Kelsey Mitchell for most career 3 Point attempts in NCAA history tonight. Still 7 behind her for 2nd place in makes though, and 47 to tie number one. That record could still be really close but she'll need at least one more game with a bunch of makes and can't afford any more 3-16s like tonight.

36 overall FGA behind Kesley Plum for 3rd all time there. Don't think she'll catch the top 2 that played five seasons each, but I suppose with another deep run and 25 shots a game it isn't impossible, at least 2nd place is in reach.

Just outside the top 10 in NCAA Free Throw makes now but should get there in the next couple games

Have to wait and see if she can catch 3rd and 4th in assists. 61 and 64 is still quite a few games away. She is seventh all time in turnovers after tonight as well, probably finish 5th by the end of the year.

In a rarity, none of Caitlin Clark's points came from near the rim vs. Illinois.

She had 24 points, 15 on 3s, 7 on free throws, 2 on a turn-around J.

Iowa was 17-for-37 from 3 as a team.

Clark:

“They just collapsed on every single drive tonight. It was kind of hard for me to get my feet in the paint and get good looks at the rim. They didn’t really adjust to that. … We made 17 3s, so it was kind of like they were going to live with that and make us prove ourselves from the outside. And I thought that's what exactly what we did.”

Since everyone is talking about it.... 51 pts is needed for Caitlin to top the Men's NCAA record of 3,667 points (Pete Maravich, LSU; 1968-1970; 83 GP; 44.2 ppg).

We should see Caitlin passing Pete's mark on Sunday March 3 vs Ohio State (Senior Day).

In just 129 games played (10 fewer than Lynette) and at the 4:27 mark of the 4th quarter, Caitlin scored point #33 on a long 3 pointer.

Incredible.

The scoring record in the books, I’ve been watching her move up the all-time assists ladder.

A few weeks ago I didn’t think she could do it but at 1049 she now needs 43 more assists to pass Sabrina Ionescu (1091) who sits at 4th place on the career assist list. If CC does so (and she has been on a tear lately) she will also pass Tine Freil (1088) in 5th place.
