There have been reports that Kelly is tied to the head coaching job at Boston College. On Friday, Mark Schipper tweeted that he contacted Iowa directly to inquire about the open offensive coordinator job with Kirk Frerentz.

Weird vibe around the UCLA FB program right now. Their star frosh QB bailed to Oregon and all these rumors about Kelly.
If he leaves it will be very awkward hiring a coach at this point in the cycle.

I was thinking the same thing. Captain Kirk has only so much in his gas tank...a lot of fans would have liked Chip running the offense. Oh well...cheers and GO HAWKS!

Ohio State will be looking for a new OC after O'Brien leaves, and a Ryan Day, Chip Kelly reunion seems to make to much sense at that point.
The fan base would have exploded if it was announced Chip Kelly was coming in as OC.
Chip Kelly would have been way too flashy for KF with all of that shotgun stuff and a bunch of first downs but if you look at his stats he was pretty balanced with over 200 yards passings a game but also almost 200 yards rushing per game.

Which is pretty funny. When’s the last time this offense has helped the defense out? They not only can’t move the ball but they turn it over and give points up. The defense has been scoring points and helping the offense.

Very true. All we see is the defense and/or special teams winning the game and bailing out the offense. When was the last time the offense went out there and bailed out the defense in a game? 10-15 years ago? Complimentary football my a$$.

Chip must not have done his homework if he thought his style of ball would be a fit at Iowa. Can you imagine the culture shock?
I know you guys will believe basically anything, but you're a real moron if you think Kelly is leaving his $6M per year guaranteed Head Coach contract to become the OC at Iowa.
No NIL $ at UCLA. Alot of schools are struggling with NIL and you are seeing alot of coaches leaving college jobs for the NFL. Basicly it has turned into a cluster where you have to recruit your own guys then try to lure kids to come to your school while getting outbid. Getting way out of hand!!
it is difficult to feel even an ounce of sorrow for many of these programs. UCLA had Sam Gilbert as a bagman for basketball for decades.
