It was fun to see him on the tonight show, but it felt like he tried a bit too hard... Cutting Jimmy off several times, not actually answering any questions, etc

Conan is great. The shit he pulled at the end of the Tonight Show was epic.

Conan, for whatever reason, just didn't connect with the WWII generation of late-night viewers and that was that. I remember my grandmother - who thought Carson was the greatest talent on television - just hated Letterman and Conan. Meanwhile, I loved Letterman as much as I enjoyed Carson.
Seeing a live taping of Conan in Burbank was definitely one of my favorite moments in terms any other entertainment experience (Comedy Cellar, Comedy Store, Tonight Show, Broadway, etc.)

Conan is my favorite talker and he’s a good singer too. Wish I had his jacket from this clip!
Teenage mutant ninja turtles were ok but I preferred the Embryonic rockabilly polka dotted fighter pilots.

Jay Leno didn’t go away. That’s the key. Carson walked away. Letterman walked away. Leno couldn’t do it.
Fallon’s ratings suck. Lorne Michaels forced him onto NBC and it broke the brand.
Jay Leno was the worst. I can't believe people watched him.
His time writing the Simpsons was funny. I just don’t find him funny as a person.
