Blame the loss on OL coach Tom Manning's leaving! Blame the loss on the (Big12 crew) refs! Blame HC Campbell for be OUTCOACHED (By BF &KF)! Blame the Iowa Fans for being too loud! Blame rain, the sunshine, the wind, the grass and air in the football! Blame the announcers! Blame the lack of a first game! Etcetera, etcetera.

Few Clone fans congratulated the Hawks' DL and defense. They (Iowa's Defense) won the game. Iowa should have gotten an early TD but no call on the Fant-um play in the end zone. Miguel had a tough day as well. Hang in there, MR!

The Clone's line held and got away with what seems a lot of hold and still Iowa's defense held future NFL RB David Montgomery to 44 rushing yards on 17 carries. NFL bound Hakeem Butler notched 3 catches for 35 yards and no TDs. Butler and Mike Eaton have both probably seen their last ISU vs. Iowa matchup. Jones is a junior, Allen is a sophomore, and Milton a freshman. Allen now has 7 career receptions for 57 yards. 2nd team all- B12 material. Speaks volumes , doesn't it? Shaun Beyer could those numbers next year.

To Paul(a) Clark and the CF message boarders, Your theme song by Sir Elton John:

It would be the same, only different, if the Hawks had lost. Great song though!!

The Big 12 crew? They mis-spotted the ball horribly twice in the 4th quarter in favor of ISU. Their's was not anywhere close to a first down, and the one against Iowa was overruled.

Now what about the pass interference call that should of been called on OJ in the 4th qtr ? You didn't mention that missed call. SMH

You complain about the ISU fans being unhappy with the refs, then you claim that they got away with a lot of holding against Iowa? Hmmmm ....

Glancing at the cyclownfanatic board they absolutely believe that Coach Campbell is there for the long-haul...I just don't see that happening.

That’s not something they should wish for, because it means his stock will have fallen. It means his teams will have resorted back to ISU’s bottom feeder tradition. The bottom line in regard to Matt Campbell is that if he keeps up a 2017 level of success at ISU, he will leave. He’d be a fool not to. ISU isn’t final destination job. There’s no money there. No tradition. Insanely hard recruiting. And a shaky conference affiliation. And on top of that, he’s an Ohio guy.

Here’s to hopefully making Uni’s(if they have one) & wisky’s rivals fan boards melt down too! I hope Iowa leaves them in the wake questioning every move and coaching decision that’s made while Iowa looks ahead to the next opponent!

Guy in front of me at the game brought up a good question once it was over. When isu returns to kinnick in 2 years do you think Campbell is still their coach? Obviously their fans will say yes. But I wouldn’t be shocked if he isn’t.

If you want to see how truly delusional a lot of them are, read this thread

https://cyclonefanatic.com/forum/threads/ending-iowas-dominance.240814/

Some serious mental reframing going on over there. For instance.....

"They won a close game. We are the better team just need experience."

"McCarney already ended their dominance. Now it’s a 50-50 rivalry with Iowa having some luck in really tight games the last few years".

So despite their 4th straight loss to the Hawks, ISU is still a better team and Iowa is just lucky in close games. Hot damn there are some sore asses over there.

That's a tough sell with Iowa winning 8 of the last 11 with 2 of those wins on last second FG'S and the other in OT. With the talent coming back next year it's hard to see them not being an underdog by at least 7.

ISU will be extremely fortunate to win 5 games this season. They are well below average from an offensive standpoint. Campbell isn't getting a major college job anytime soon. Pollard will look like a fool before that contract is done.

Basically every fan base melts down after losses. Ours included.
You must be mistaken. Our fan base never bitches. When we win every thread is positive and when we lose it's always wait till next game and never any second guessing. Our forum people are the greatest. Only positive threads are ever posted...:D

If he gets six or seven wins this year he will deserve other offers.

Right now, I have ISUcc losing to Oklahoma, TCU, Okie State, and West Virginia. I expect Texas to beat them but this is still not blueblood Texas (for now). If Akron beats ISUcc, Campbell will want out of Ames quickly.
