Ever have raccoons in your attic?

Truth be told my roof is kind of awkward, and I don't really like climbing up on it. I couldn't get a good look of what I was dealing with from the ground, so my main concern was that they were already in the attic. Now, knowing that they aren't, I prob could have done it myself, but I figured I was looking at a whole ass operation.

I'm already getting a roofer to come fix it. Again, as I've said 5 times already, the cardboard is there to see if the raccoons have come back to try to get in, or have moved on.

I understand that. I just think it's ****in idiotic to put cardboard over a roof hole in the spring. Something waterproof like a piece of roofing felt and 4 cap nails would have worked to see if the coon was active and would prevent interior damage from rain. Cardboard and duct tape?....... not real smart .

I'm not too worried about it. Less than .25" the next 10 days. Roof will be fixed by then.
