Looks legit. Love the jump-hook. Perimeter shot looks pretty repeatable. Be nice to see what his feet look like defending on the perimeter. And curious to know if he can dunk

Congrats on the offer Gabe

Uses both hands really well, good foot work and I would judge him to be a better "athlete" then Luka (don't bash me). I love Luka. I also like the fact that he attacks the post players defending him to the hoop. He'll be really good in another year or two. OH, and he looks like he knows where the weight room is!!!

We know Cordell Pemsl is transferring out, but what does this say about Jack Nunge's status with the program. Is Nunge ever going to emerge again?

I honestly don't think it says anything about Nunge's status. Nunge's status is all about his being healthy and finally playing in the role that best suits him...which is probably a stretch 4 or time in the post. Coming out of the last off season Fran said he was the second best player on the team and had him starting....some people will say, "well he didn't play that well at the start of this year." He HADN'T played in a game in an entire year....the kid is big and talented and just needs to get a chance to find his groove playing the position that best suits him. Confidence and comfort level for a player is a big big deal and Nunge hasn't had time to find that yet.

This kid could play along side or behind Jack for what, a year before Jack graduates?

Yeah we really don't know about Nunge at all. This coming year -- if he's healthy and if Garza is back -- he would have a role that suits him. Back up Garza in the post, play occasional minutes at the 4. But he's best-suited to being a post player than can step out and hit the 3. Asking him to play on the perimeter full time in a non-starter. Nunge has good post skills, he just has been behind Garza and Cook, and hurt. I see him as Kriener-esque, but potentially a better version (a better shooter).

Might have been sarcasm. After the first minute I almost turned it off because all there was were dunks. Didn't know if actually had any real skills

Well, now, some guy from some little school in Ohio won some national POY awards despite being totally overshadowed statistically by Luka Garza--except in one category--dunks. So there's that.

I agree, he looks like a better athlete and more fluid then Luka. I hope we land this kid!

Wow. He really does have many similar moves as Luka inside. The only difference I saw was no 3 point shooting, but we don't need it with our guards. Hope Fran can bring in Son of Garzilla!

We would be a lock if his name was Gable...Oh, that's another sport at Iowa...

For a minute there I thought we were recruiting former Viking running back Onterrio Smith's kid.........;)

We have Bohannon and Garza as seniiors this next year....so at 2 schollys available going in, before any transfers

At first, I thought I was going to look a big guy doing two-hand dunks for 3 min, but then the tape showed a variety of very nice moves with great footwork, and the ability to shoot with either hand. His outside shot looks kind of robotic, but he has time to work on it. Very impressive true center prospect, who does have a lot of similarity to Luka. He would really benefit from playing against Luka in practice, if he is a 2020 recruit. Either way, would be a great get.

If Luka’s back we could take him in 21 if that’s what he’d be more comfortable with. I’d prefer he have a redshirt year working against Luka, but you never know what a kid wants to do.
