ISU has great guard play and senior leadership. A pretty damn good combo in the tourney, they will be a tough out.
Dear God - they now have 15k posts on Iowa football recruiting and basketball. And the ringleader CyTwins needs to get his huge linebacker wife in Carroll on a diet. To use his words "yikes" and "lol." Jeepers dude you have no job but get a treadmill. Yikes!
Of course they have high post counts in those threads...it's because they keep things contained to a few threads instead of starting new threads all the time. It's one of the few palatable things about that site.

I think we can all agree on 5 things:
1. Iowa's freshmen embarrassed ISU's seniors
2. ISU is doing what it was supposed to this year
3. Iowa has exceeded expectations this year
4. The future is bright for Iowa basketball
5. ISU will likely struggle the next few years

Oh so far from the truth.........
1. ISU seniors were far from embarrassed. They have so many quality wins over their tenure that it far outweighs some bad losses. It's a LONG season and older players understand this. I'm sure ISU players are happy to be in the position they are in compared to Iowa. It's not like ISU got beat by Nebraska. Now that's embarrassing.
2. ISU is exceeding expectations for 2016-2017. Expected to finish 4/5 yet currently in 2nd place with 1 game left. They will go to their 6th consecutive NCAA tournament.
3. Iowa wasn't expected to make the NCAA tournament. And they won't.
4. The future of Iowa basketball looks eerily similar to the past. One pretty darn good player ( a la White, Uthoff) in Jok who doesn't have enough surrounding him to go anywhere. Young players are decent and will see a lot of time over the years but reminds us all of Woodberry, Gesell, etc. Lots of teams have good young players.
5. ISU most likely will not struggle based on history and the level of talent currently in the program and coming in. There have been many years where it looked like they should struggle but they have developed a program that has been quite successful. Iowa fans always hope they struggle but it just hasn't usually happened.
So Isu's awesome seniors were expected to lose by 14 to Iowa's freshmen? Did Monte get that memo? He seemed to be too busy planning some sort of embarrassing celebration then he did on the game itself.
Once again reality simply doesn't match clown fan myopia.

If you don't think you will struggle next year losing Morris, Thomas, Burton, Long, Holden, and Bowie, then I feel bad for Prohm.
And Iowa's awesome freshman were expected to lose to Omaha? Please. One game does not a season make. It's nice that some Iowa fans are still celebrating that amazing victory over Iowa State 3 months ago but ISU is going dancing again while Iowa will watch at home.
It won't be a struggle. There will be some growing pains, but a kid like Wigginton will ease those. The Clones have the advantage over the hawks because it takes Fran 2-3 years to bring in the amount of quality talent that ISU brings in One year.
It's funny how this post started a month ago because the day of the Kansas game some Iowa guy thinks ISU will lose then they go on to beat KU in Lawrence and ever since then Iowa fans are trying to convince ISU fans that we will struggle in the future. You obviously have not watched much ISU basketball. Lose Morris, etc you will suck, lose Niang etc you will suck, lose Hogue, BDJ you will suck, lose Ejim and Kane you will suck. See the trend here?
Yes it is. Basketball is a different sport. It's not 11 games. It not football. So yeah it's basically the same thing. ISU is going to the equivalent of a football bowl game after losing to Iowa who is not going anywhere Just like when ISU beat Iowa in Football and went nowhere.

Ranked in the top 25 and going to the NCAA tournament would only be a fantasy for Iowa fans. It's fact for ISU.
No more fact than 78-64. If isu was as awesome as you think they are our freshmen wouldn't have kicked the clowns out of the Top 25.
If your freshman were as awesome as you think they are they'd be ranked in the top 25 and not getting schooled by DII opponents.
Next year will be rough for isu, nobody said that about previous teams of isu, including coming into this year. You're making shit up.
So for the last 4,5, 6 years no Iowa fan has said this about ISU? Who's making shit up? I remember before the Ia-ISU game last year and even at halftime of the game the year before! Iowa often thinks they are better than they are until this time of year rolls around.
No dipshit, nobody has said isu is gonna suck as long as niang was going to be playing there. Many said this year would be a step back because he was leaving, which was the truth, but thats different from saying isu was gonna suck. Next year, another step back and likely NIT team. Suck? All in what your definition of suck is. What I would do if I was you, is run to your site and enjoy the last couple weeks of this, why you still have it.
