Grimm actually played out and had a series finale. It was a great show.Grimm - loved that show...would love to see a reboot...picking up with half vessin/grimm kids hunting down the bad guys.
But it probably didn't get the credit it deserved.

Can't remember that last time I've seen or heard that show mentioned. I'd say it's underrated for how amazing it was. There was a thread a while back about best comedy TV shows and I don't even know if it was mentioned.I think most people agree it’s one of the best comedies ever.
Did you watch Firefly when it was originally airing, on FOX?I never understood the appeal of that show. I like most things sci-fi but I veered off that halfway through and never bothered finishing. Like most Joss Whedon content it just seemed uninteresting if you were old enough to have a drivers license.
This. Massive mistake.Firefly.

I guess I loved it so much and my friends do as well it’s talked about more with my group. Can't remember that last time I've seen or heard that show mentioned. I didn't. Watched it years afterwards when it was released on BluRay. I also watched it in its intended viewing order. I imagine watching it then, as FOX butchered its episode order and ongoing story line, left many a viewer scratching their heads as they wondered WTF they were watching.
Same goes for Almost Human. Another too-short lived of a series because a FOX-botched butcher job of airing episodes way out of order because - in their infinite wisdom - 'better' episodes needed to be broadcast earlier and OoO to boost its viewer ratings.
Well, the no pic is constantly accusing me of thinking, and acting, like a 15 year old. So I really don’t have a good rebuttal - you might be right, but I love Firefly all the same.I never understood the appeal of that show. I like most things sci-fi but I veered off that halfway through and never bothered finishing. Like most Joss Whedon content it just seemed uninteresting if you were old enough to have a drivers license.
I just want my kids back.I guess I loved it so much and my friends do as well it’s talked about more with my group.
I'll get hammered for this most likely.....
Parks and Recreation. Just recently dialed into this show and it is fantastic.
Extremely underrated. The second season, after the characters had developed and had so many lol moments. Debra Winger was awesome. She had one of my favorite lines ever when she turned the interview around when Agathe brought her in for questioning.Patriot was very very good. Amazing show.
Good call on Alphas. That's another one.I agree with Firefly and Almost Human.
And I will add Banshee, The Warrior, Rubicon, Clone High, Gary and his Demons, You’re the Worst, Caprica, Threshold, Alphas, and Daybreak.
This show had the opposite trajectory of M*A*S*H or The Office. Meh comedy the first season or two then really picked up steam once the ensemble and writers figured something out.I'll get hammered for this most likely.....

Let me start with a show I really enjoyed which was smart and funny but was canceled too soon.
Frank's Place 1987
Once they picked up Rob Lowe and Adam Scott and got rid of the City Planner it really worked. One of my favorite shows. This show had the opposite trajectory of M*A*S*H or The Office. Meh comedy the first season or two then really picked up steam once the ensemble and writers figured something out.
I was really worried they were going to cancel Fringe. That was several seasons of slow burn that all came together at the end. Would have been a bad one to end early.I missed the initial run because I was in college so it was just one of many shows I missed - watched the serenity movie as my first exposure to it and then watched the series on dvd. That was a masterclass in how to not give a show a chance.
All the stuff I read about what fox did behind the scenes to it, it’s no wonder it couldn’t find an audience. Turned me off fox programming until fringe years later; watched dollhouse on streaming after it aired.
Fringe was the shit.I was really worried they were going to cancel Fringe. That was several seasons of slow burn that all came together at the end. Would have been a bad one to end early.
Andre Braugher was one. Agreed, great show.Men of a Certain Age… lasted two seasons on TNT… 2010 … Great show of three 40+ dudes just going through life … Ray Romano …. Can’t remember the other two … was a good show ….

Why are you the way that you are? FIREFLY WAS A GODDAMN NATIONAL TREASURE PAL!I never understood the appeal of that show. I like most things sci-fi but I veered off that halfway through and never bothered finishing. Like most Joss Whedon content it just seemed uninteresting if you were old enough to have a drivers license. I did enjoy watching Dollhouse by Whedon however.
But my stock standard answer to the original question is always Jericho. Sure it got a revivial, but the momentum was lost and the storyline accelerated too quickly.
Good call. I watched this. Mostly for Kathryn Harrold.I'll go back a few years to the mid-late 80's. It was a bit ahead of it's time in dealing with actual real teenager/high school issues like abortion.
Thought it was an excellent show but only made it two seasons.
I'll get hammered for this most likely.....

Parks and Rec easily in my top 5 sitcoms all time. Fvcking amazing. Convenient, if you pay attention most sitcoms don’t hit their stride till season 2 at the earliest, but I agree. It gets better each season. Fun fact, the city planner left the show voluntarily to pursue movies. I think he did one romcom that flopped and his career was over lol. This show had the opposite trajectory of M*A*S*H or The Office. Meh comedy the first season or two then really picked up steam once the ensemble and writers figured something out.
That show sucked and so do you.Let me start with a show I really enjoyed which was smart and funny but was canceled too soon.
