Was interesting that it seemed like a lot of guys were turning in counterintuitive (to my eye) directions to shield the puck, with shorter breakouts and fewer stretches. Wonder whether my eyes deceived me or if that was game planned.

I too despise the Avs, but for a different reason. When I first started following hockey in 1990 I was living in Chicago but I spent a lot of time working in Quebec City and the first NHL game I ever attended was at Le Colisee.
So the Blackhawks became my Campbell Conference team and the Nordiques became my Wales Conference team. I was pissed when they moved to Denver.
If Canada ends up beating Finland in OT then the US should let Sweden win in regulation, just to humiliate Canada.
I feel like it's a dirty shame that Helybuk wasn't a star of the game. Imo he was the absolute difference in the game. Even more than our Sioux City Musketeer Jake Guentsel.
Hellebuyck is arguably the MVP of the tournament so far. He’s only given up two goals in two games and one of those was a breakaway by the best offensive player in the world.
Man I'm still buzzing about that game. What a blast. Just as good as the superbowl was imo.
Hey, Parayko finally showed some fight. I mean, it was a pretty pathetic fight as far as hockey fights go, but nice to see him have a little fire.
I’m one of the biggest NFL fans on this board (self proclaimed) and I was more entertained last night than I was last Sunday.
The only thing awesome about the Super Bowl was Cooper’s pick 6.
As a Raiders fan that is not true. The chefs getting curbstomped was the height of entertainment. Until last night that is.
