I hear ya. Was also looking to cater to the Omaha crowd, I think we have a decent contingent over there. Admittedly, panorama is also closer for me than Des Moines or eastern Iowa.

I think we could still draw a crowd at Lake P and then plan for future sites in and around IC or DM area.

I haven’t played otter creek in a while, I’m sure all would enjoy that course.

Regardless of venue, what is a good time of the day to set it up? Sunday 10:30? Or later in the day? Friday afternoon around 2?

Sunday mornings I’d venture would be the most flexible for a group. If Lake Panorama got nixed, Legacy would be a solid second choice for central Iowa.

Busier courses might be require more logistics and rsvps to accompany a random amount of us that might show or not show.

Trying to think of the better courses in Western Iowa for those in Omaha. Nothing worth a crap in CB. Most other towns are all 9 hole courses that are average. IMO, Avoca has one of the better 9 hole courses in SWI. The recent rains have really helped too.

Atlantic’s muni is meh. Their private is ok and I could probably get us on there…but there has to be better.

I haven’t played Waveland in years but don’t recall it being a bad course, Played TCI twice, June most recently and really enjoyed it. Going to play it again in mid September.

I have lots of friends who love TCI and it's a beautiful spot. It's just not my style of track. I prefer places like Sand Valley and Landmand.

I've grown to hate Waveland, I know some people love it and it draws a lot of the old money of DM but **** any course where you can hit a drive perfectly straight down the fairway and regularly end up with a super shitty downhill, ball below the feet, lie.

Never seemingly have a flat lie and feel punished even after making great shots. Parts of Wakonda feel the same.

Exactly. It is a beautiful course, it is just difficult for all the wrong reasons. If you want to grill people for missing a shot, cool.

The fun of Waveland was removed years ago when they put irrigated fairways in…The Wave in late summer and early Fall was always more fun to play the fairways were dry and hard as a rock. It’s so simple and easy to play today in comparison.

ITS ON! Just made reservations for 10:55 and 11:05 tee times on Sunday Sept 10th. Should able to accommodate 12 golfers if we playing best ball. Can always add another tee time if that doesn’t seem to be enough.
