Iowa a 3 seed in the NIT

Oh no they predicted Iowa wins their quadrant. Great. Under pressure now.

Over/under on

-PMac missing two straight free throws and ending game with 0 rebounds
-Perkins losing the ball trying to simply dribble and trying to out-athlete everyone for buckets
-Dix not getting enough shots up
-Freeman getting in Fran foul jail right away
-Sandfort starting hot but then hitting the front of the rim 6 straight times
-The other team getting 10 wide open 3s on our super confusing zone defense
-A bench player from the other team getting a career high
-Us not quick shooting with 45 seconds left in the 1st half to buy an extra possession

If PMac and Krikke only get spot minutes - same for Perk if the Perk from the last 2 games is still present - then Hawks got at shot at the "Final 4".

Otherwise? They're not finished 'one-&-done'ing this postseason.

Nailed this.

Is it confirmed that Iowa would play on the 23rd if they win?

I only see that the 23rd-24th are options for the 2nd Rd.

They could easily move our game to Sunday if we won, so that Iowa could host.

*this all operating under the assumption UC Irvine wins (and us of course).

If Utah wins, then it doesn't matter.

Of course, I'm also speaking in hypotheticals because we aren't beating Kansas State.

Season ticket holders and I-Club contributors can order NIT tickets prior to the general public from now until 10 a.m. on Monday, March 18. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for UI students and youth.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Monday at I-800-IA-HAWKS or online at hawkeyesports.com/tickets.

Because of the short turnaround time from the announcement to hosting Tuesday’s game, season ticket holders are not guaranteed to receive their season ticket location. All purchasers will have the ability to select seats in the purchase process.

Do we really get KState in the first round? Seen them play a few times and if the good version of them shows up we lose by double digits easy. If the crappy version shows, we win by double digits easy.

It’s like playing ourselves in reverse. They play great defense but can’t score.
Yep. But I think we lose regardless.

This team wanted to be like Indiana and puss out of the NIT, but they know the blow-back would be 10x worse with our fanbase and media.

Despite the apathy towards the men's program right now and the fact that our players visibly look done with basketball, we are in fact NOT in a position as a program to be turning down postseason bids.....even the NIT.

Sorry not sorry for the truth.

pssssst.

(we also don't have have the NIL $ to work on "roster construction" like those other schools, either)

Looking at the NIT setup, who's your pick for a "Cinderella" run - if there is to be one - among the unseeded teams?

I got San Francisco.

(but am fully prepared for it to turn out to be Kansas St)
