Iowa a 3 seed in the NIT

The NIT "Final 4" is at Hinkle Fieldhouse, right?

So if Butler can get there, they get a literal home game for the semis - and the championship, if reach it.

Actually, with the right breaks, they could have 5 straight home games to play in the NIT Championship, at home.

Effin' lucky.

I'm a loyal Iowa fan, so I'll watch us play NIT teams that are more on our current level of ability. For the first time in years, perhaps we can advance past the second round of a post-season national tournament.

St. Johns had that setup for 50 years at MSG. Did that ever work out?

On sale now supposedly to season ticket holders, but I can't even get in the website. Must be a surprising amount of demand. Anyone else get tickets?
I was able to buy mine earlier tonight. I just logged back on now and was able to get to the page to buy tickets. You get a map of Carver and can select your seats, plenty are available.

Based on the last couple of games I'm not sure they can beat KSU. Bounced in the first round of the NIT would be pretty embarrassing.

Or they could return to the form of a couple weeks ago and make a run.

Who knows with this team.

🤷‍♂️
Consistently inconsistent is this teams MO.

Anyone else browse the K-State roster and stats to figure out which player will get a career high against the Hawks?
I would guess it will be the player that has taken the fewest 3 points shots for the season will drain 7 out of 8.

KSU is a good team and will beat Iowa, but JMO. The Iowa team appears to have lost their edge in the last two games, if they ever had an edge.

Is it true the game will only be on ESPN+?

okay, here's a little take on k-state. the cats are either good or bad, little in between. if they go overtime, it's over - coach tang is 12-0 in OTs.

this is a guard-oriented team with little paint presence. thus, when the guards are good, k-state wins and vice versa. tylor perry is a shorty-sharp-shooter. arthur kaluma is potential nba. cam carter is the third guard who turns it over way too much. our bigs fill space but are not counted on to win games. the bench is bare.

k-state lost two starters in the preseason, na'quan tomlin who was dismissed, graduated, transferred, and stared at memphis; and ques glover, a high potential scoring guard who stuffed his knee.

the cats have beaten ku, iowa state, byu, baylor, 'nova, and others but lost to nebraska, ou, txt, and the like. they have been good at home, bad away. god only know which shade of lavender shows in iowa city.

Just checked for tickets to see how many sold. Looks like some sections are about 50-60% gone and others toward the end are about 20-30 % gone.

It might be, but it is also in ESPN, Direct TV channel 206 and Mediacom channel 730HD. Dish channel ?.

Noise Fran could be leaving? Grumbling out there he was not happy an asked for extension wasn’t given last year. No way a retiring Barta was going to give that and no way an interim AD was doing that as well. Now that BG is the AD, she is going to bring in her coach if he does leave. Go get Devries. Not sure why he wanted an extension since his contract runs till 28/29.
It’ll be interesting…rumor all year amongst the school has been this was Jacks last year at West.
